@ssDieseLSmoknya lol Thats awesome! We were having a student appreciation day. Yes, Mr. Fleming and Mr. Whitmeyer told all the diesel guys to go and see who could blow the most smoke. Fleming is still teaching Diesel Engines, but is shifting over to Diesel Fuels and Tune-Ups. Great to hear from someone else who went there.

SMOKE=BROKE on a diesel, your engine is terribly inefficient and the more smoke there is, the less power available. Black smoke is caused when more diesel than fits in each cylinder is injected. It is forced out unused through the exhaust valve making them stick open, then blocks the turbo, EGR, DPF & CAT if fitted. Over time you will notice your power drops, you need new exhaust valves, new EGR valve, new CAT, new turbo, new fuel pump and injectors. Learn about engines PLEASE before doing this!

@21elmollo its not just unburned fuel. its almost 100% carbon. and one of the neat properties of carbon, is that most of the nasties attributed to internal combustion engines, stick to it. the other cool thing that makes this so nice, is that carbon is heavier than air, which means it falls to the ground and is then naturally disposed of. in the end, it keeps the nasties from reaching the ozone. suck it bitch! ;)
