Man up to his style of play? Have you seen the Corruba Collision Reports? He throws big hits all the time? Martin Hanzal to give you an example. He "man's up" everytime he puts on his skates. Don't hate a guy cause his role is to hit and not fight.

If kaleta was throwing the same hits but was able to fight better we wouldn't even be having this conversation. I get that guys with shields on throwing hits can annoy people. But as long as he isn't throwing cheap shots and getting suspended i don't have a problem with it. This is hockey, it's aphysical sport. Wo doesn't like big hitters in hockey? Who says all big hitters have to fight all the time? Peca, Holik, Ledyard, Corkum, Parker, guys like that were big hitters and not fighters

i guess u don't respect a lot of guys in the NHL today then....considering every team has one designated "kaleta esque" player....though few do it any better than him.....if he was consistantly throwing cheap shots and getting suspended u would have a point...but he's not that type of player so it doesn't work that way....u should go to hockeyfightscom and read the convo about hits and fights by former NHL enforcers.....they all say the same thing, it's clean and it's still OK to go at the guy

it was his first major ever.....and his second boarding call ever.....0 suspensions......how is he a cheap shot artist......and how does he have a vagina when he hits everything on the ice knowing full well that people are gonna come after him every game? How does he pick his spots? He throws clean hits and then a random person or people jump him. He's not like ruutu whose a spot picker. OK i get what ur saying about hitting guys and getting dealt with. Kaleta gets dealt with a lot. 8 fm's in 50 games last yr. And he's picked fights with guys like carcillo and asham so he's not going after non fighters or anything. There have been players like kaleta from the start and still are a lot today (clutterbuck, zeiler, cooke, larose, helm, etc. etc.)

buttkick22, I won't say he NEVER throws a clean hit, but he DOES throw A LOT of dirty hits (ex: he leaves his skates, he head hunts, knee-to-knee, etc). He also starts a lot of shit that his teammates have to end for him. He initiates, but will often turtle behind teammamtes when he is up against someone that can kick his ass (he can't even fight well). He CLEARLY remind me of a Ruutu (funny you mentioned him) and/or an Ulf Samuelsson (retired/swedish). NO RESPECT FOR HIM, EVER!

ruutu is the biggest spot picker in the league and has a suspension record...not the same at all...if kaleta throws a lot of dirty hits where are all the majors and/or suspensions?....or penalties for that matter.....funny u mention knee to knee hits when kaleta has 0 kneeing calls against him....ulf samuleson was arguably the biggest scumbag ever. 18 fights in 104 games, pretty manly for a non fighter...1 major for hitting and it really wasn't nearly as bad as what has been going on the last few yrs...u do have to have facts to make a point though...3 boarding calls, 2 charges, 1 dirty hit to date and 0 suspensions...it's pretty obvious he can't be called a dirt cheap shot artist without a consistent record...ur right, he's relatively new, if he actually throws a dirty hit then u can back to me...until then he's just another beast grinder

the commentators would have loved for him to leave his feet so they could figure out why there was a call......they had to go with "he came from a distance so the only thing u could call there was a charge".....i think while they were saying it they felt stupid....no penalty on the play.......they looked for him to leave his feet from all angles and from slowmotion but couldn't bring themselves to lie on T.V. and say he did......his back foot came up 1 centimeter i'll give u that .....get a clue

You fail to realize that Canada was only founded by the british because the British deported the French(or Acadians), and Quebec was all the French were left with, so of course they're gonna be pissed at the english. listen, that was completely legal. I'm gettin kinda sick of people arguing that it was with out a shred of evidence. If that was a cheapshot, and a player's face was broken as a result of it, the league would have suspended the hit everytime.There wasn't even a penalty on the play.
