  • Proud Melanesians Keeping our Culture Alive

  • TOP

  • Nice song

  • These dancers are from Boera village which is near Port Moresby, the capital of PNG. The dancers are singing a modernized version of traditional songs but are dressed in the traditional attire which has survived for many thousands of years. Our culture is such that the women expose their breasts (as traditionally done) and so it should be, when it comes to presenting their culture to the world!

  • @vandella223 wat??!!

  • Better than any stripe show.......this is pure....

  • Very beautiful dancers and the song.. Its good to see we Papua New Guineans still keep our culture's and tradition no matter where in the world we live, we still carry that with us.. PNG with more them 800 language and different cultures and tradition.. HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS :-)..

  • The music is modernize but the clothes are still wild! and maybe still virgin...

  • nice tits

  • Nice performance. Port Moreby is the big city. It looks natural with not much pollultion in this picture.

  • can't wait till hawaiians do the SAME dance.

  • Anthropologist and other experts say that the Papua New Guinean people and every human- from the Human race, come from Africa, but no know's for sure where everyone came from! Caus no one was there thousands of years ago to see it all and record it! Simple... Plus our languages are totally differant!!! That's what divide's us!!!

  • Is this traditional Guinea attire or just for folk performances?

  • @StarFoxAutobot It is one of the many traditional Papua New Guineanan attires this was what our ancestors wore,so to keep the culture alive we wear 'em for cultural performances!! =) hope that answered ur question!!

  • @lightening283 Didn't their ancestors come from Africa?

  • @StarFoxAutobot Its not really known. Everyone have different features and some are said to have come from Asia, Polynesia, The Mediteranean, The Middle-east and yeah including Africa too I think!!

  • @lightening283 Wouldn't the loincloth make more sense for women than for men? Men have to pee standing up but women don't.

  • @StarFoxAutobot that makes sense but thats just how it was done back in the dayz, and the knowledge of it has been passed down from one generation to the next and so forth.

  • @lightening283 I talked to a friend of mine about the same thing, and he said it might be so women aren't sexually assaulted.
