It's called "disaster capitalism", perpetrated by basically crocodilian minds (greed and power) as opposed to humans (intelligence, empathy, imagination, love.) It looks like the result of <$80/barrel oil is bankruptcy of MidEast, and they may be moving into Africa instead.

The stark fact is America has gone to war, demolished an entire nation, and squandered the lives of thousands of its own soldiers for reasons that are lies - proven, documented, and deliberate perversions of the truth - and nearly no one on the homefront in positions of authority has had the moxie to stand up and say America is now the most dangerous rogue nation in the world as it threatens to spread its economic coercion and radioactive rape to every country on the planet.

The situation is dire, certainly. Witness Obama's transition team, a whose who of heredity Wall Street parasites and financial oligarchs.
I really can't understand the mindset of individuals expecting to reap any positive "change" or direction from a demagogic puppet dictator of free market finance. Are people really so blind?
In any case, the situation is likely to worsen (i.e. escalating wars, more banker bailouts, more false flags...).

Very true. Completely true. The IMF announced "Great Depression" worse than 1929, globally, today (or yesterday.) If even THEY are saying, guess what? It's slammin' down, my brothers and sisters.
