Dude instead of wasting like 24 seconds, why dont you just put all in one page, Beto Arts presents the lord of the rings, and honestly? noone cares about the damn map dude but other then that good work :|
ok let me make this absolutely clear, I LOVE THE TRILOGY OF THIS MOVIE IT WAS GREAT!!!!! this movie was made for all audiences in my opinion, this it was not made in Hollywood as many people think, it was directed by a New Zealand film director and the trilogy was shot in New Zealand, look it up, the special effects came from WETA Studios in Wellington NZ. Also LOTR has really good music :)

to all you boring thumb downers:
probably you are all girls at the age of 11 to 15 who love harry potter and viggo mortensen, who have NEVER read the lotr books and who actually love american pie and all that hollywood stuff.
so, go on, worship the worst move of all times, and the worst book adaption of all times.
The film set a new standard for epic filmaking. It's cinematography was some of the best ever. The shots were amazingly epic. It's themes well executed. The direction superb. It is ranked #50 on the AmericanFilm Institute's 100 list. It won nearly 20 Oscars. You didn't like it? MOST people did, even my dad, a die-hard fan of the books.
Yeah, the movies were far from the books (I noticed after reading them that most of what happens in RoTK movie happens in T2T book.) But that doesn't change the fact the movies are good. Ignore the books for a moment and just look at the movies and judge them without a fanatical prespective. It's like judging a movie intended for children on an adults scale; just look at the movie and enjoy it.

One point for you, haha, nah, seriously, the question with the "who can read" was a joke.
But still, there are a wholelotta folks out there who call themselves huge LOTR-Fans and haven't even read the books yet...

Most epics unfotunately teng to come along without any heart and soul and LOTR was, mostly, just juge pictures and no soul.
I give a ***** about the oscars. The academy award is ridiculous, when it comes to determine a good movie.
You better watch out for cannes and the golden palm. This is where the mainstream is abolished.
LOTR is mainstream, the film is sometimes so far away from the book. Terrible

weeeell, I have to admit that I am a little bit fundamental when it comes to adapt books for movies.
I just didn't like the way Jackson transformed the story into a mass-fitting product, you know. ;)
I didn't like certain elements in the film, particular roles, and so on.
All in all it was more overpowerful pictures rather than a powerfull adaption of the plot.

i agree, tho i think in a way it could also have a backlash affect on the movie. who knows?

the battle scenes really could have been bloodier...
With more violence in the right places the movie would've been much more authentic and not so hollywooooood.
thanks loll
