It is 4:05 am and I have an exam at 9:30. I have learned more from watching several of these videos than from my chem teacher in the entire quarter. My teacher got a ph.d in chemistry from MIT that she brags about, I say that it is worthless if she can't teach and use it. Mark you really do a great job clarifying things up. My college has the worst chemistry professor available, b4 handing out the syllabus he said "good luck ha ha ha, i got no problem failing any one of you" and that was with difficulties cause only he understands the language he speaks, lord help me

@TiteNYC I had a physics professor (who was brilliant, but couldn't teach his way out of a paper bag) who told us on the first day that if we weren't physics or engineering majors, we would fail the class. Came as a surprise to us chemistry, biology and earth science people who needed it as a graduation requirement. Knowledge is treated by some like a commodity that is precious and should only be shared with those who deserve it. I believe knowledge is free and should be shared with everyone.

@8EmWhy Mathematics is a tool. In this unit you are learning how to use that tool. Later in the course, as you go along with other videos, you will see how that tool is applied to solve actual problems. Be patient, all will be revealed.

Scientific Notation is much easier to learn backwards, seeing it unfold into the original number just makes more sense.
