  • Hey Donny, your video is awesome man! (Well, not "AWESOME" but I like how it shows all of your progress also! It has to make you just sit back in amazement at the progress you have made since then! I feel honored to have your video come up just after I watched my "Tribute to David Huddleston" video about my accident!

  • Donny, no lie, unfortunately I've experianced a TBI aswell + like you, bacterial infections...they/the TBI=worse than hell. Before my injury I really knew nothing about brain injury, but sadly I learned the hard way, very few know about it, even those intellectual enough to feel sympathetic EG doctors honestly dont understand. Anyways great work bro, stay in there you got this shit! Did you have a "difussed axonal" TBI? I was in a coma just less than 4 months and I was curious if that was why.

  • I'm just happy too see that the push is still there. I can still remeber what it was like after I woke up from the comma & finding out I had a tbi 27 yrs ago. All I can say is keep up the push. my reaction is funny because thats the only thing I know is just to laff it off. humor I found was the best source of dealing with my injury. I realize Im just typing in my own 2 cents worth.

  • @tknur2009 damn you've been in a coma for 27 years?

  • I'm just happy too see that the push is there. I can still remeber what it was like after I woke up from the comma & finding out I had a tbi 27 yrs ago. All I can say is keep up the push.

  • another is one my recruiter told me the day after high school graduation when i found i couldnt join the Marines anymore bcuz of it was A MANS WORTH ISNT MEASURED BY HOW MANY TIMES HES BEEN KNOCKED DOWN, BUT BY HOW LONG IT TAKES HIM TO STAND BACK UP

  • I survived a car wreck almost a year ago man and i suffered a TBI, it affected more of my cognitive skills than anything, its hard for me to concentrate on things for a long period and my memory is horrible. short and long term i couldnt tell ya what i did for xmas two years ago :/ youra beast keep it up, favorite quotes are THE MOST COMMON CASUE OF FAILURE IS THE HABIT OF QUITTING WHEN ONE IS OVERTAKEN BY TEMPORARY DEFEAT

  • been there. brain injuries suck...

  • take Risperdol Constant injections.

  • hey donny, i have also had a second chance in life, i got ran off the road by someone and rolled three times and was airlifted to the hospital. I looked at your picture on youtube. Indeed you did have a chance at a second life. Its been 2 years and i am almost there to my recovery, i do most everything on . But whether i completly get well or not i am better off now, you see i had many additions to drugs, marijuana, alcohol, cigarettes..now i am free from all that , now I AM SAVED, ALIVE,AND FREE

  • wow! very inspirational . I work at a Brain Trauma Unit and things like this really move me. Just imagine the brain, an organ as delicate as a mush gets damage and this is what happens to a person's life. congratulations and I'm so happy for you

  • hey donny, very inspirational story. my family is going through a similar situation right now... my father also suffered from hypoxia. he woke up from a coma to a vegitative state, and now he is walking (but needs assistance) and talking. a lot of things he says doesnt make any sense but i want to know if you went through the same ordeal during your recovery process? i am also very concerned for his short term memory, he basically has none. did you also face that same problem?

  • Hi Donny! I also suffered a TBI and was unconscious for 5 days in a hospital. It took a lot of therapy but I am now almost recovered. My physical injuries to my head are permanent but the other problems I had are gone. I still can't do math and I learn new things a bit slower now. I also have a baclofen pump but not because of TBI. I've been a wheelchair user because of muscular dystrophy since I was a kid. Hope everything is going well for you. TTYL!

  • Inspiring Video, it's amazing to se how much progress you've made.

My 12 year old nephew Kyle suffered a TBI and we are currently campaigning for rehabilitation services for children in in our country (Wales, UK.)

Keep up the hard work & our thoughts are with you.

  • Awesome. I hope you continue to make an excellent recovery. Great video. I am so happy for you!

  • hey dude, i don't know you, but you're doing great, man. livin' on a prayer for real! peace(:

  • Nobody truly understands except other TBI patients huh brother =) You will move forward from this man- keep the faith and keep thinking positive thoughts- get that book Brainlash- its nice to just read that someone else has gone through something silmilar adn that you aren't losing your mind. What MASSIVE imrovements you've made so far, you're doing it! Great that you're keeping track so on terrible days you can be reminded that you're moving forward- much love brother, chin high

  • I suffered a TBI Jan 6 2010 and I am still not recovered. There are many similarities with us TBI patients, but in my opinion all TBIs are unique and different. I had massive amounts of despair in the beginning and it was surely my darkest hour. Family and faith are so important, so great to see those girls with you. DON'T LOSE HOPE BROTHER or give into the dark thoughts. Things WILL get better and you WILL move forward. Someone read BRAINLASH, it will help you understand his condition betr

  • proud of you man

  • @hroe13 what that ??

  • @hroe13 I don't think people should issue threats on the internet, it isn't mature and people usually say things while hiding behind a keyboard that they'd never say in public or to someone's face- that having been said, and assuming you are not a completely ignorant little child, and that you're an adult, and having suffered a TBI myself, I can honestly say I would hurt you badly if you were standing in front of me for saying what you just said to this person-you soul-less piece of trash.

  • @hroe13 Who the F are you talking to??? What the hell kind of comment is that?

  • my son has recovered from a tbi and living his life again, just bought a house at the age of 20, his accident was last year

  • @kellyatjcb I recommend Medical Marijuana it has helped me tremendously especially with the seizures. Breakfast lunch and dinner.

  • I totally know what you are going through i was in a car accident in june of 2008, and ended up losing half of my arm and was in a coma for 2 months had a trach in my throat had to learn to walk and talk again and deal with my TBI. Its hard cause nobody understands til the shoe is on the other foot. Keep up your hard work it takes a long time, just have patience.

  • Go Go Go an never ever give up

  • Yeah that is great! You are still alive! I was on a suzki motorcycle with a young brother up to 160 mph, lost control and flipped us twisting my knee, torned 2 ligeaments, arm broke and some bruises from head to ankles....brother flipped a few times and teared his skin legs to bleed while wearing a short pant....He said it felt like a sand street and burned his skin something... Of course I sat behind him as I am his small older sister...HA..Yeah that was last 2005... I am ok now... HA

  • Sweet I had a brain injury too it fucking sucked!!!! I was 10 in 1998 Ahhhh The pain was gnarly as hell. your spirit felt the pain. It got crazy when I started losing my left side and falling. Then I remember white outs where a bright silvery light would come and I would be in another part of my house. Then when I would call for help Id see it again and be like "Oh fuck " then I would be in the bathroom covered in vomit. I'm like Immortal now seriously!

  • @Guitarisma I hope your'e ok after that ordeal! and careful!

  • @ilovebobthecat Hello sir I am fine right now but earlier today I was Depressed I hate having this dissability it has taken The Best essentials in my mind for a strong life. Thank you for keeping in touch I am still trying to cope.

  • good luck , dude.

  • I had one when I was 10 some things stay with you but ssome abilities I have today are amazing. I was paralyzed hence a coma// stroke. I hated it but it comes back. I remember crying in physical therapy like a bitch thinking i would never walk again.

  • youve got an amazing family dude.

  • donny, i was just at your website but it didn't really tell me much. it explains what hypoxia is, which i knew, but doesn't say anything about how it happened? what DID happen? you should expand on it on your site. anyway, looks like you're recovering well. hope that keeps up.

  • @kingcrimson234 Hi Kingcrime sorry about that i didnt realize that i did not have it on my website

but i just had updated my website.....

On New Year’s Eve I went to Vegas and I wasn’t feeling too good I had went to bed early that night because I guess the bacterial infection was starting to take a toll on my body!

  • @kingcrimson234

I had woken up right at 12 am right when the fireworks went off because of my anxiety which the anxiety was caused from my bacterial infection! But I didn’t think anything of it!

On Jan 12th of 2008 due to a two and a half hour delay on getting me to the hospital I lost oxygen to my brain which means that I got Hypoxia. Hypoxia led to brain damage and went into a coma for 10 days.

  • This video is like watching a diary of our experience

  • is video is Let's Talk Billy. It is of him and his sister. She was his biggest support. It will not let me attach it so search for it. Take care Donny

  • Wow, My son Billy had a traumatic brain injury last year. His sister put together a picture video like this one and posted it. I sent it to my coworkers and today I was deleting old e-mails and ran across it. I looked at it again and I see you Donny on the right in a list of other videos like his. You just jumped out at me because you looked like my Billy. He had a second chance in life as well.

  • hey buddy, glad to see how much you have improved! wish you all the best! on a side note, how did you get your BTI to begin with?

  • You know...I feel weird rocking to Bon Jovi while looking at your pictures.

Anyways, I see the video was posted a while ago so hopefully you're doing much, much better!

  • I went to your site and noticed a lot of links need to be fixed. It is the code that isn't quite right ( / missing in some, some the link is doubled so brings up a not found error, et cetera). Just thought I would let you know I was at your site. Left you a comment on the chat page.

  • dude, i hope you get full recovery soon! My prayer of strength, patience, and wellness goes with you! Feel better:)

    Ryan,NY

  • ive been going through this about 6 months it started with tinitus im now doing the water cure treatment...keep your chin up great video man

  • A man all is going to be okay for you; especially should you keep faith in Heavenly Father! Alway's keep your head up and rarely look back. For if you do, something similar can happen to you or your family & friend's.

Almighty, does not do this, but he below him. He does it; to try and sway the faith of the survivor's friend's & family. He'll never win though! Too many believer's.

  • inshallah, everything is gonna be okies soon. keep the faith in almighty.
