  • LMFAO this is awesome

  • The customers are no better in retail, but at least we don't have to babysit them for quite as long as food servers do. Usually...

  • As a hostess, I wish people would just tell me if they want a booth or table, and where they want to sit. That'd be nice people

  • what really bothers me is when people think the moment they walk through the doors nothing matters but them and the customer is always right. uh no the customers are usually annoying and ignorant. i hate when i try to go in rotation and the servers get mad because i skip them because all i hear is booth booth booth, sometimes they'll ask for one and i'll seat them and they'll ask can we get one further up then they walk in front of you to they one they want. they screw up the whole rotation!

  • I work at CPK, this fucking happends every day

  • @jaysletteangel people actually gave me this excuse. funny thing was that our chairs were a lot more comfortable than our booths...

  • As someone that always asks for a booth, I never realized that it was a pain in the ass. When I go out with friends we tend to order a lot of appetizers, so a lot of those smaller tables just become a a complete cluster****. Booths also just tend to feel a little more private, and I feel weird eating at a table in the middle of the restaurant. I'm not going stop ordering booths, but I might start tipping the hostess to get one.

  • @JustinCredibleX I completely understand not wanting to be at a table in the middle of everything. That makes perfect sense to me. What really got to me was when customers would come in and make up excuses to sit at a booth instead of just saying "I prefer a booth, it will give me more room" or w/e. The reason it becomes difficult for a hostess is that we don't just seat people wherever we want because we feel like it. There's a rotation that we have to follow. So, that's why it's in there.

  • @JMConry Or at very least ask for a booth when you're at the host stand so I can figure out where to put you.. rather than saying it half way to a table.

  • @JustinCredibleX it's not necessarily annoying for us when guests ask for booths. We do follow a rotation when seating tables so it is best to ask for the booth before we start walking to a table. Also, at my restaurant, if we are on a wait, we do take requests when taking your name. If you don't tell us what you want beforehand, you'll get whatever is available when it's your turn to be seated. When the guest becomes angry that they have to wait an extra 10-20 min is when it gets annoying.

  • ahahaha take one for the team! we do that all time. we usually rock paper scissors.

  • I recently have had to be the host at my job (due to an injury) and now I remember why I use to bitch about it ALL the time! I deal with these people every single f***ing day!

    P.S. Make one about Denny's!

  • Oh My God this video had me cracking up the whole time because every word of it is TRUE! I am have been a hostess, server, and bartender so I can certainly relate to this.

  • if i want a booth i.should get a booth im coming.to.there place to eat

  • Yesssssss!!

  • oooooooooooooooo mmmmmmmmmmm ggggggggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS SO TRUE!!! I work at BJ'S Brewhouse and I deal with people like this EVERYDAY! I wish i could say fuck you when people ask for booths or tables across the entire restaurant.

  • The Cheesecake Factory !!!!!!!!

  • @whatthasteph Is it the same over there? That's a little more "high-end" than RT's if you ask me. But who knows, they might be just as horrible to work for.

  • @JMConry This video is pretty much dead on The Cheesecake Factory lol

  • This is exactly what it was like at my first job (which was ruby Tuesdays) I learned to hate people after working there because i felt myself die everytime i opened the door for some pos who walked through and obviously has never worked at a restraunt before and thinks that they can do as they please. cause i would be the one cussed out by that server because it was my fault they cant read something that says please wait to be seated

  • @glitchy852 trust me, i've felt your pain. i have made a vow to never work in food service again unless i own the place.

  • omg is this ruby tuesday?!

  • @thatmonkeykid13 i don't work there anymore. so........yes. yes, it is. it was awful. the good thing was that my managers were usually on the understanding side. usually...

  • @JMConry yep i work there now and everytime i walk through those doors i want to shoot myself. i was a hostess making 7.40 then they moved me to bartender. didn't train me, just threw me on and expected me to know everything and got pissed when i did something wrong. i got it down now but it was hell to get to where i am.

  • Wait a minute, I forgot my old job at the steakhouse...the guy who called ahead when we weren't on a wait so I couldn't take his name, then we were on one when he got there so he got a beer at the bar, then threw the pager and beer at me. That was the worst. Too bad he ran out the door and sped off before we got a chance to call the police.

  • Some DB insisted on being sat on the side of the restaurant that was closed (the doubles had been cut to go on break and were set to come back on at like 4:30) We were on a wait. He bypassed the lobby to inspect the empty side. When he asked why he couldn't sit there, I told him the side was closed and would be reopened when the servers returned. He then scoffed, "They're on BREAK...? Why do the servers get a BREAK between shifts? I wanna sit down NOW and I can't because they're on BREAK?!"

  • Three words: Fuckin'. Olive. Garden.

  • My first job was a host at a restaurant... and ugh that was annoying. The worst people are the ones that come in on their cell phones completely ignore you when you greet them and sit at a random table. Then they start giving you their drink orders and such when you walk up to drop off menus. I swear a lot of people lose their brain when they walk into a restaurant.

  • @NTPhillips90 oh my gosh. I can completely relate. the one i worked at was surrounded by hotels and near an airport so we had a good handful of people who didn't speak english well. so they would just come in and pass by us like we weren't there. or even look at us and then keep going when we tried to say hello. THEN they would just pick a table that suited them. assholes. that's not how we do it in america...why did they think i was STANDING at the front door? for decoration? uhhhg.............

  • bahahahaha . i love this. its so true im a hostess at cheesecake factory and i deal with stuck up fcuks all the time .

  • HAHAHAHA I need a booth.

    REALLY!? WTF?

  • @Krauseoo I know, right? Seriously? You "need" a booth so bad then buy one and sit your ass down in it at home like a normal person. Plus, in that restaurant the chairs were more comfy anyways. It made NO sense. I shall never return to you evil food service...

  • I can totally relate to this.

  • And this is why i dont work at a resteraunt hah

  • @Blah1234ism luckyyyyyyyyyy

  • as a host, this is the type of shit i deal with daily. stupid ass old ladies who refuse to sit in chairs, in the bar, and want a booth by a window with good lighting and has a good air conditioning flow....stupid fucking people

  • @MrRob19881988 I feel your pain, buddy. Don't you just wanna yell at em? Just a little bit? Well, don't because you will be fired...but don't you want to? lol I always did.

  • Holy fuck, I want to kill that cartoon fucker. As a restaurant manager, this is bang on. I hate customers.

  • @CanadianGuy04 Why thank you! I think it's pretty close :) I hated some customers sooo much when I worked in restaurants.

  • @JMConry Someone stop me i am going to punch the customer ...

  • @KaiserVadin I don't think anyone here is going to stop you :D

  • I can't agree with the whole bar thing MORE. That shit pisses me off so much

  • Zero dislikes... awesome.

  • If you've never been a hostess or a server that shut up with your "constructive" criticism. Trust- so many people are douhes. I love this video.

  • @lovelyleah60 Totally agree. That's what I thought when I saw the argument breaking out above. Anyone who's been a host/ess would understand that this script is pretty near immaculate.

  • @let892 Thanks. I literally took every example from my workplace. I think it's pretty darn accurate.

  • @lovelyleah60 I have some constructive criticism: learn to spell.

  • A stable table please bahahahaha These make me so happy

  • omg this was sooo fuckin funny!!!! i wish i could tell them to sit the fuck down every fuckin shift

  • @ItchyKneeSon whatever you say :) it was a joke. take it lightly! with a smile preferably...

  • Definitely could've had a better script. The hostess sounds like she's had a bad day and starts to get unnerved before the customer even starts to get rude. Bad case in argument of the view of hostesses.

  • LOL! Thanks for the vid! It was fun to watch! But so ANNOYING to deal with! I don't think you left anything out that I haven't been through. Glad I'm not a hostess anymore

  • OMG...this is hilarious!! i fucking hate ppl like that. IDK why or how ppl act/think like that. UGH i hate when ppl ask for BOOTHS..or better BOOFS. honestly ppl like this should die.

  • this is my damn life ..........THANK YOU....im glad i can laugh now about it lol i hate people at redlobster

  • Thank you for making this one for the folks at the door!!!! LOVE IT!!!

  • The story of my life. The things I wanna say to people. It pisses me off.

  • this what i go through everyday!!!

  • @000darkprincess i know right? i hate it. profusely.
