I've heard that people tend to dislike the "Millenium" series (1999-2004) Godzilla movies like this one because they tried to be too modern and grim/gritty.

Personally, I've always liked them. After all, one of them (Godzilla vs Megaguirus) was the film that introduced me to the Godzilla series.

Is it dark? Sure. Is it grim and gritty compared to earlier films? Yes. Is it trying to be modern? Yes.

But those things have never meant an automatic "bad" label as far as I'm concerned.

More like late 2013 or 2014...That's okay though they got the writer from Batman Begins an The Dark Knight, re-writing the script with Gareth Edwards, an Toho an Thomas Tull CEO of Legendary Pictures have the final approval before it starts filming.

As long as it's good, It's the real Godzilla an it's already confirmed he'll fight 1 or more monsters this should be a great Reboot for the franchise.

2014 is also Godzilla's 60th Birthday, so it'd work out great that year.

1.-Toho didn`t have lot of experience with CGI, but there are some escenes were Godzilla is CGI..

2.-People in Robber Suit are awesome, maybe the method is old, but it still awesome!
