Maniac!! I've playing this game only second day though, and my time is only 2:58! 40 seconds faster! Crazy!! :D And I'm using first person view, it's fun - but scenery in the game is moving very fast!

You're a very talented racer. I'm still using this game. 2.0 is better than the other colin macrae rally games, and colin mcrae games are way better than crap "dirt" games. This game is awesome (my personal best is more than 20 seconds after you, you raced so well!)

My best lap is 2:37:99 and I can`t see how all of you got under 2:25:00. On this video there is no time shown, and that is no rally driving :). I think all of this is a praise :). I know that I have done some hard work to have this final time, so do not tell me that you got 2:16 :)).
What an idiot. certainly not so quickly rode I bet he typed some code into the smokers and definitely set the gearbox on the manual and go all the time in 3 gear and tried to not exempt then it otherwise could not have accelerated so quickly to go
and I forgot, the best part about this game is - when you reach the asfalt stages, then the game goes ultra fast, and you can feel like your really driving. this game responds to your actions.

Colin Mcrae games had the best car physics and damage. Just great. But the driving was a bit hard to get used too. I still have the Mcrae 2 CD and still play it -_-

Paul! I remeber there was a good shortcut on Kenya stage 5, you could go through a gap in a fence and cross a farming aria or something. Others didnt seem to have figured that out, thats why I am 2-3 secs faster on that stage I reckon. Kenya Stage 2 is an old all time favourite. I could do that one for hours to get the perfect racing line and get the optimum set up. You short cut over the hill at the end, and I used most of the power ratio on the front wheels and had softest suspension.

I think I'll have a drive through off CMR2 on my PS1 see if I can take back a few of those old 1st places I lost in Sweden, But my wife and kids will go balmy, I'll have to take the game to work. The stage and track designs where the all time best in CMR2 never got better after that. Apart from a few in Japan in CMR 2005.

hi there,yes a good time and respectful driving,but wrong gear settings,u need medium to long in 4wds,you are on rev limiter alot. try beat my 20516v time on codemasters hall of fame,2nd on stage 1.goss just got better of me on open tarmac,check italy times.respect paul fenney.
I don't know if I could do better but your max speed is reduced and I think the optimum turns are made by pumping the brake at a high frequency while never leaving the acceleration button off.
I tried so many times to drive on medium gear ratio, but I could never get so good times as on low ratio. Low ratio gives me better acceleration and this is very important element when you drive on such crooked tracks as France.
yes acceleration might be more important. I don't know actually, I haven't been playing this for 4 years but I was really amazed when I discovered that pumping brake method.

you could have went faster... for at least 20 seconds u were at top speed... if u changed the gear ratio, u would have been driving at a greater speed... but anyways, thats my opinion

that's a nice drive mate. i haven't played colin 2 in 6 years but i remember that that's how i used to do it. and if i remember correctly a longer gearbox than the one you used would give you a bit of advantage. you were driving on cut-off way too long and that was loosing you time. peace
man, i wrote down there: my PB is 2:15:29. And i still think that i can make it under 2:15. But im not playing more, couse i have the record with WRC cordoba thats why.
Congratulations for you :) My best is 2:16:57 with the manual gearbox (with automatic i have worst times). I think a can go under 2:16 but i'm doing to many mistakes.
man, he's not cheating trust me. Ive done 2:17:20 with cordoba. Ibeat he's times in 5 sectors, but with a little. He beat min in 3 others, but much time so im 0.5 late.
OOhh, I must apologize you, its really possible to do that. I've just turn down graphics details and did 2:19:... with cordoba and 2:14:98 with 205 T16 CMR2 rulez :)

What's the best car for levels like this (tarmac). I always thought the Peugot turbo 16 was the best. You're using the Seat from what I gather.

Once, when I was totaly drunk I've told my friend to start the game.
I don't remeber how I played, but on the next day he said that i shoud look my time.
Using Street Evo (the white one) I was able to get 2.14:75.
This was 8y ago and I've never got better, equal or similar time.
My official PB is 2.16:97 using evo.

Hi Paul, dito, you also have some amazing times. I remeber being unhealthiliy fanatical about the game, I worked nights at a hospital, I could play all night and get paid so to say ha ha. I mostly enjoyed driving together with some CMR2 pals over a server with wheel abd peds. I used to go over to LillCollins house and drive against BDA, Colin, and Lill Collin, some great Swedish drivers, u can finD us on H O T L A P S . D E

hello again, just been looking at codemasters hall of fame,france stage 1 and you would be first for the 4wds with that time.i only managed a 2.18 with this car ,but didnt spend to long as fighting with goss in the 205.post your time in hallofame,,and ill get me ps out the attick and push you all the way i reckon a2.14/2.15 is possible with right settings.

hi there,yes a good time and respectful driving,but wrong gear settings,u need medium to long in 4wds,you are on rev limiter alot. try beat my 20516v time on codemasters hall of fame,2nd on stage 1.goss just got better of me on open tarmac,check italy times.respect paul fenney.

I don't know if I could do better but your max speed is reduced and I think the optimum turns are made by pumping the brake at a high frequency while never leaving the acceleration button off.

I tried so many times to drive on medium gear ratio, but I could never get so good times as on low ratio. Low ratio gives me better acceleration and this is very important element when you drive on such crooked tracks as France.

yes acceleration might be more important. I don't know actually, I haven't been playing this for 4 years but I was really amazed when I discovered that pumping brake method.

you could have went faster... for at least 20 seconds u were at top speed... if u changed the gear ratio, u would have been driving at a greater speed... but anyways, thats my opinion

that's a nice drive mate. i haven't played colin 2 in 6 years but i remember that that's how i used to do it. and if i remember correctly a longer gearbox than the one you used would give you a bit of advantage. you were driving on cut-off way too long and that was loosing you time. peace

Congratulations for you :) My best is 2:16:57 with the manual gearbox (with automatic i have worst times). I think a can go under 2:16 but i'm doing to many mistakes.

man, he's not cheating trust me. Ive done 2:17:20 with cordoba. Ibeat he's times in 5 sectors, but with a little. He beat min in 3 others, but much time so im 0.5 late.

OOhh, I must apologize you, its really possible to do that. I've just turn down graphics details and did 2:19:... with cordoba and 2:14:98 with 205 T16 CMR2 rulez :)

fucker, go to GEAR RATIO and make it ONE LEFT (shorter ratio) u'll get this acceleration. And if u want it even faster accelr, go 2 left.
