Kobe has a better 3 point shot and I will say Kobe is the better jumpshooter (not by far though). MJ was way faster than Kobe. Not just down the court but his take off was unreal. He was a better defender and had a better interior game. His hands were huge and it allowed him to go to the basket get the two points and the foul. Thats where he made his money if his shot wasnt on (as you can see in this video) but Kobe cant drive like that. If his shots not on (which is mostly isnt) Hes out of luck

No he's not. He simply "relies" on the jumper more than MJ.

MJ's offensive attack was more balanced than kobe's. During the 2nd 3-peat yrs, MJ was PRIMARILY a jump shooter & in those 3 seasons, he put up FG%'s that are BETTER than ANY of kobe's. Hell, he played all of '98 with a cracked knuckle & torn ligament on the index finger of his "shooting" hand & STILL shot 47%, which is BETTER than kobe's BEST shooting season..

stats dont agree with you though. Last I checked, (maybe 4 months ago), Mj's shooting was better in every aspect EXECPT for 3pt% in the regular season. His is higher in the playoffs. Mj scored the vast majority of his pts off of the jumpshot, all throughout his career. That being said, if he has a better %, which he does, then he must be a better shooter. Now sure, Mj got to the basket better than Kobe and thus that improves his fg%. So maybe Kobe's is better, but we cant tell by using % stats.

Again, kobe shoots MORE 3's than MJ, but isn't necessarily any better than him from out there. What does it say about kobe that he shoots almost TWICE as many of 'em, but career wise, is ONLY 2% better than MJ?

Go look at who has MORE seasons of shooting AT LEAST 40%, 39%, 37% & 35% in 3's. It's MJ, not kobe LOL!! When MJ did shoot a significant # of 'em, he was CLEARLY more efficient from out there..

MJ didn't NEED it to score big in games, kobe does..that's the difference between them..

No Mario once again this is a concept kobe fans fail to realize. There is a difference between Skill and dominance. Whether kobe is more skilled doesnt matter... although he isnt. Do you think Shaq has skill or dominance? MJ was dominant because he was faster, had a better bball IQ and had bigger hands to successfully drive

I'm a HUGE Kobe fan. He is my generations equivalent to MJ back in the 80s and 90s, but that one reason alone will have/ keep MJ at the top forever. NO ONE, will ever be like Michael, and NO ONE, will ever be like Kobe.

The thing I love about Lebron fans is they at least realize lebron has a way to go before he can even be in the same sentence as Jordan while Kobe fans make these dumb statements because they like kobe.
