@dragonslayerkevin Then you glide down and land anywhere you like. It will land at almost a complete stop so you can literally land the thing in a pile of rocks no problem. It also has up to a 12:1 glide ratio so that if your motor dies only 500 ft up you can glide over a mile before you have to land.
@filmmaker91361 You gotta do it someday! It will change your life when you touch a cloud with us., Keep in touch, and when things get better we will set you up with some lessons!
@iammdeepak1 There are so many options to choose from, both new and used! This is Rob, the marketing guy for Dell and U-Turn. Please give my boss Dell a call so he can recommend the best equipment based on your needs, weight, experience, etc. Dell is the #1 pilot in the world and a dealer for ALL major brands, so he can point you in the right direction. His number is 800-707-2525. Let him know you spoke to me so he knows what's going on. Take care and please keep in touch!
when you are in the air do you always have to steer the trike with your arms ?.I see you useing your feet to turn when landing, and i understand the rear brakes to turn.My question is do your arms get tired from pulling on the cords to steer after a period of time.
@handy3112 Once you get up you don't even really have to steer. You can just steer by leaning your body as it can also be controlled with weight shift. If you do a lot of controling though such as in extreme low level flying then it depends on your glider. Lower end gliders can indeed wear your arms out if you throw them around a lot. The high end gliders handle effortlessly and you can fly them all day without getting tired. Fun stuff!!
@Timgeo84 If that looks scary then this probably isn't the sport for you. They are super easy to fly if you get proper training and zero people have ever been injured or killed in them. It is extremely safe and fun but if just watching it makes you scared then aviation probably isn't for you as it isn't for sissy girls:). lol. My 14 year old daughter flies and she doesn't freak out. Perhaps it is just you haha. teasing...
@imasuper0308 I just watched a video(not one by superdell) where an S-Trike had a pretty nasty crash.Total damage...a $55 dollar part designed to absorb the impact.Ray Charles could probably install the new part in about 5 minutes. There was ZERO damage to the Flat-Top,wing,and the rest of the S-Trike. The pilot didn't get a scratch.Dell, when you talk about the SAFETY of the Flat-Top and S-Trike,I thought it was the salesman comming out in you. This other persons video made me a true believer.
@IWATCH2MUCHTV97 There is no age limit at all, no certification required and no licensing or registration. Just get one and learn how to fly it. Fun stuff!!!!
@neji021 In the US there are a couple simple FAA rules. You can't fly over a congested area, so if something falls off the unit you can't ever put yourself in a position where it would land on someone or endanger anyone. Then just stay out of restricted airspace like major airports. Other than that you are wide open to go pretty much anywhere you like.
@CharlieSabaitis Yes they are very easy to control once you get proper training, yes this one will work just fine for you, we also have a backpack model that would work awesome too, my 13 year old daughter flies it. It is powered by a small 2 stroke engine, very simple and reliable. The S-Trike in this video is about the size of an ATV but the backpack unit is small enough to fit in the trunk of a sports car. Fun stuff. Give me a call anytime if you like. Dell 800-707-2525
@imasuper0308 Your video is incredible. Years ago I took flight training to get my pilots license. It was only after the training that I found out just how expensive owning a cessna is. With the costs for insurance, fuel and storage, I was never able to afford owning my own plane. Is there a way to buy an ultralight in bits and pieces to spread to cost out over the coarse of a couple years?
@Thinkify1 Yes, there a several parts that make up this unit. Wing, Trike, Power Unit and reserve. Each one can be purchased individually. Give me a call anytime if you want to talk about it. Dell 800-707-2525
What is the GPS type unit called? Do you prefer something cheap that can tell me the accurate altitude that I am flying at? Wait there is an iPhone app, which probably does not work, but do you know of anything. I'm getting/will kill myself if I don't (just kidding) one like this and wanted to know where I am at when I am flying above Earth, lol, thanks.
It is a glider so no engine is required. Yes if the motor were to die you just float down and can land at almost a complete stop pretty much anywhere. That's why it is soooo cool. It is about the only aircraft that can be safely flown very low to the ground. if the motor dies you just flare and land. If you really stuff the brakes on landing you can drop the canopy behind you and it becomes a huge drogue chute that stops you instantly. Very cool!! 800-707-2525
I love skydiving but yes this is waaaay better. Skydiving is over in a couple minutes. The fun part is the last seconds of swooping. With this you can swoop the ground ALL DAY LONG. Freaking awesome!!! Also if you hit something or screw up a landing the S-Trike will cover your butt. Lot's of crumple zone to absorb impact. Pretty stupid proof and tons of fun.
Yes I can fly this aircraft one handed no problem at all. Just watch a couple videos back and you will see me operate it that way. You put the throttle and both brake toggles in the one hand. Then you can fly. I've seen a one armed guy flying before. Seems to be no problem.
Respect for the video!!!

Great video!!!
I have a few questions:
1. is it easy to control?
2. Im 14, so would i be able to find a kit that would fit me, or do they just make them for adults?
3. Is it easy to land?
4. What powers it? In the video, i think its a fan, but you know for sure.
5. How big are they? Compare it to a 2 door jeep. Is it the same size? Bigger? Smaller? Would it fit in a garage?
Let me know!!
