Okay, does any one know what is ment by ''leo?'' some people saying its a book, some one said its a titanic reference and others saying its a charmed reference, anyone acctaully know? oh and great job with the lyrics (:
@misslizzylennon It's referring to the book Stargirl- The girl Alex liked loved that book, and Leo is Stargirl's boyfriend (I think... i read it a few years ago, don't remember the details...) and he's saying thyat he'll never be for her what Leo was for Stargirl.
@starsafterlight the girl this song is about really, really liked a book called Stargirl, and Leo is the love interest guy who narrates the story. Basically he's comparing her to Stargirl and himself to Leo. A better explanation is probably somewhere out there on the internet if you go looking.

@goat118 no, after googling, it seems that leo is a reference to stargirl the book. alex clarifies that the girl whom he wrote this song for loved the book stargirl, and leo, in the book, is stargirl's boyfriend.
i wonder who started to spread the interpretation of the jack and rose titanic theory? i've been recieving that ever since i posted the comment :P
@NOLUVFORRON for the last time i'll declare that now i know what he's referring to by "leo" and it's DEFINITELY not leonardo dicaprio, despite the constant comments i see claiming that this is the story behind the story. in fact, the actual story is that this song's written for a girl named mhairi stuart and she really loved a book called "stargirl", in which stargirl falls in love with a leo.
"stargirl", btw, is an AMAZING book. u need to check it out! :D
@starsafterlight i think he means like in the book Star Girl, the love interest was a guy named leo, so i think thats what he means by leo. im not sure,hoped this helped:)
@starsafterlight Leo is the guy in Stargirl and I read somewhere Stargirl is the favourite book of the girl that Alex is singing about :) I'm not entirely sure but I hope that helps
