To be fair, they were much younger and had a good bit more spunk as a result. For being a bunch of guys in their early 40's they've got a pretty impressive amount of attitude.

And for the record I like what all of Pearl Jams drummers have contributed to the band. Matt Cameron is towards the top (if not at the top) of the grunge drummers in terms of technical ability imo though. I really dig that....

I'm pretty sure when he left he was out for good. They had Jack Irons (formerly of the Red Hot Chili Peppers) for a while, and then got Matt Cameron (of Soundgarden fame) who's with them now.
