  • MrDrNo1: to get a job as a USFS LEO, you need to have at least a bachelors degree (4 years of school) preferably in a natural resources or criminal justice type program. And commuting-wise, it depends on what district you work on.

  • i wanna be a USFS LEO im only 13. how much college do i need? do i have to live up there or can i commute up to the forest?

  • @MrDrNo1 four year degree or a year in specialized job related field. My advice to you---when your 18 apply for seasonal job with USFS but stay in college. You get priority summer hire if you are a student enrolled in Fall Quarter. It's very competitive to be USFS LEO. Many start out landing full time jobs with National Park Service law enforcement or Border Patrol to gain federal "status." Military helps too...veterans preference is great for federal job. Good luck!

  • i wanna be a Forest Service LEO im only 13. how much college do i need?

  • its really simple when it comes to wildland the forest service is the best, cal fire is good at what they do also two different professions guys

  • Forest service law enforcement is badass.

  • who does the song??

  • iam 99.9% sure if you ask any firefighter urbran firefighting is more difficult, you have hirises, hazmat, and unknown ems runs every firefighter i work with is extremely physicaly fit my self included,i dosen't matter how many fires you catch or run you get it really about making it home at the end of the tour, and yes i did work for cdf/alco fire in northern ca we never debated or bitched who was better we are all equal you newbie kids need to get that beaten in your heads

  • I go into the wilderness to get away from cops and now they are like ants in the forrest looking for terrorists. Where is there such a place anymore. I miss the isolation I received from nature.

  • I used to respect the USFS....I was on various IA fire crews...then they got all PC, reduced the requirements, and chicks started showing up. But guess who still did all the work??? That's right, the guys. Look at the deaths on Storm King, it was like Darwinism on the mountain---I think every girl from the Prineville "Hotshots" was killed. Too bad. I wonder if they still do the joke "step test" for the PT req? What a joke.

  • They were cool before they were law enforcement. Now, can we trust them?

  • @kevin112191983

Um whoa. I've never been involved in forest firefighting, but I'm pretty damn sure it's tough.

  • @kevin112191983 actually dude alot of guys i knew in the forest service were only using it to get there feet wet while they got there paramedics so they can be a structural firefighter...your an ignorant slut...

  • @kevin112191983 wow really? i have never heard any city firefighters say that about the forest service. you have no respect. the forest guys fight more fire then then the city guys so YES they should call themselves firefighters!

  • @kevin112191983 Wildland Firefighters see more fire in one season then you will in your entire career. So yeah... I think they are more worthy of the title "firefighter" then you are.

  • @kevin112191983

Dude you are a dumb shit!!!!!!! City fire has no clue how to fight fire. You guys fight fire in a box come how hard is that to put out. Keep running you medical calls and t/c's leave the real fire to the america's fire department. Not to mention i bet you are some fat ass sittin in your recliner in your station watching the discovery channel . And you have no room to talk about education!! Hvae fun with you pavment queen

  • @brett1145

As both a wildland firefighter and urban firefighter i can assure you, that basically your a moron. If you really think fighting fire in a building is all about putting out fire in a box then your not going to last very long. I wouldnt want you near anyone I work with you because youll probably do something asinine and get someone killed. Go get an education

  • in loving memory of Engine 57. R.I.P

  • stupid as video, didn't even show any respect to the forest service, you showed different agencies the whole time, 99% of the time the forest service is doing all the work.

  • SaveRForestsFromUSFS wants accountability when the USFS spends your tax dollars this wastefully, this is Disaster Relief money at work. Can YOU think of a better use? It's being done on Arizona State Trust Land, this land funds our children's schools. They are about to spend ARRA Stimulus money, how many BILLIONS of YOUR tax money do they need to waste before YOU care enough to say STOP?

  • @SaveRForestsFromUSFS That goes to show how stupid you are when you talk waste and not saving lives human, forest creatures, and the forest itself. You are not very bright.

  • @Srjd616 actually because of fires being put out so rapidly it has caused the forest to grow immense underbrush and many many ladder fuels. therefore is very unhealthy, which then causes fires to burn out of control...most people dont know this so they think that ALL forest fires are out of control..on the contrary if the forest were healthy fires would not spread so fast...

  • @SaveRForestsFromUSFS oh tell me about it. On one dispatch i went on i pretty much sat on my ass for 2 weeks, earned about 4,000 (i was a GS3, lowest paid) imagine what the IC's were making or even just the GS5's..

  • awesome vid!!! respect to emergency services here in the US & around the world!

  • I know the guy dragging the drip torch. that's my buddy. didn't expect to see him in this video.

  • I have the pictures from google, Is it a problem Yes Send me a message no, Not a reaction

    Byebye

    Eagle Mtn

    Hotshot crew 96

  • the people in the orange suits are con crews and the all yellow are either state or local firefighters

the feds wear yellow tops and green pants

  • @paradisebobcats Actually the feds are wearing the yellow tops and green pants and the yellow tops with tan pants.

  • @Srjd616 didn't i just say that

  • great video what is the name of the song?

    5/5*
