A lot of straight men feel that way about Moz. He still has straight guys jump up on stage to hug him when he performs! That is part of the whole thing...he was (and still is at nearly 50!) incredibly sexy and flirtatious but then there is the whole celibate (at least at the time of The Smiths) thing. It really was an amazing contradiction.

Apparently now he does or has had recently relationships but still won't say which way he goes. But I think, unfortunately for us female fans, we know anyhow

Yes it was, samthompsett's correct. Brixton 12.12.86 was their last full-length set but these two tracks on The Tube (Shoplifters was also aired) was their only live performance of87. They also 'played' the San Remo Festival in Italy but that was a mimed 5-track set (and was Jan 87). Sorry to sound so trainspotterish! Just out of interest, what made you think this wasn't their last?

Yeah TOTP is lipsynch. Nirvana did this great thing on TOTP because they abhorred lipsynching. They got TOTP to agree to let Kurt sing live to a recorded music track of SLTS. He totally screwed with the singing and they all intentionally did a horrible job at pretending to play their instruments. It is great!
