In regards to the inquiry of the white antique hearse. Plans were to have the casket in a horse drawn open hearse, but the length of the funeral, mixed in with the length from the church to cemetery, caused the funeral arrangers to change the plans. Plus, cemetery was actually closed for business by the time the procession began.
I'm a white 16 year old, and I'm very thankfull for Mrs. Rosa Parks!!! My best friend is African-American, we would not be friends if it was not for a determined Lady who said "I don't care what it take's, we all WILL be treated equally!" One day there will be NO discrimination! It doesn't matter the color of your skin we all bleed red!!!
I still remember this day. I was working at the Pizza Hut right there and we was all waiting for the funeral to let out so we could see Miss Parks ride final ride.

@cjzzzzz WOW!!! when U lived as long as Mother Parks & done so much for the people of color.. U R truly remembered.. Like Theartist159 stated.. " huge difference among both". Let's see what ur " dash" on ur headstone reads..
I attended the service in DC and it was a very emotional time for many people...she stood for what she believed and made folk listen to what she had to say as well as made the US open their eyes to watch many was trying to get them to see....we will forever miss u and we will always honor you for you accomplishments and achievements....WELL DONE MRS. PARKS....WELL DONE...
ms. parks you were truly an inspiration to many and it's sad that the youth of today have no clue as to who you are but among those who know you and your struggles through this hard road of yours you moved each and every single one of us you will be truly missed. r.i.p rosa parks may god bless your soul and carry you amongst the saints that you are.
Working in the funeral business for twenty years, there are a few rare instances when you have so many flowers and items, that you need more than the flower car. Most funeral homes don't have a fleet of flower car because they are dual-purposed (hearse, flower vehicle). Every now and then (not often) hearses do perform double duty as flower cars.
I like the music that is playing. Which hearse was Rosa in? Was it the very 1st 1 where the horse r running beside it? I just want 2 make sure. RIP Rosa Parks and thanx 4 posting this!
The important thing is that I put Jesus into the situation as a reminder of whom was by her side from the very beginning. The clipart that I used is the clipart that I had!
Everyone is entitled to have their own "personal picture" of Jesus in their mind. Whether or not he had Blonde hair and Blue eyes is irrelevant to me and if you Truly Believe, it shouldn't matter to you either.
To me Jesus isn't white or black; look at where Isreal is- most are olive skinned, dark brown or black hair, wavy. Inversely, God (and the Devil for that matter) can appear in any form.
This was truly a send off for a queen! Our youth should know what it really means to have someone of her stature from our race. Not these rappers who degrade and dehumanize each other and pour beer from a 40 oz on the ground!
Unfortunately, most of our young folks know very little about the small but significant acts of bravery and courage and the people that performed these acts that allow them the freedom to do what they do today.
Why doesnt anyone under 30 know who she was? These ignorate brothers and sisters are to busy listening to gansta rap and killing eachother, kissing white folks rear, instead of getting educated about civil rights, and why they have the right to vote, read, and ride the front of a bus, and become independent.
Thats good keep him away from the stupid hate message driven gangsta rap and any other negative influences that poison our youth mind. Make sure he take a few history classes so he can learn about history and he will understand and see the self destruction and the disparity of some of the youth of today
I don't understand your point of "kissing white folks rear". Isn't Mrs. Parks' legacy about equality? Why would you get on here and post something so political and racist? I don't believe that was her point in standing up (or in this case, remain seated) for what was right and challenging the status quo of her day. So that no race could call itself superior to any other. Mrs. Parks will live on in history in the hearts of all Americans whether they were born black or white!
There were plenty of people that did. Anyone from the Clinton's to Jesse Jackson. It was a really moving experience to be able to capture this footage.

@cjzzzzz I guess it is truly a matter of opinion. To compare your example is crazy though to me.
One changed History. The other was born into a silver spoon.
Huge Difference (in my opinion)
