I never understood how keeping and studying sharks or any other animal will help it survive....the only way to help something survive is to leave it the fuck alone. I love sharks, too...studied them since i was 5. I have a set of jaws at home as well. I know over 100 species' scientific names by heart, and even want to go diggin for fossiled teeth one day. But shit, goddayamn people wake up...they need their space and resources as much as we do...and chinese people...STOP FUCKIN EATIN THEIR FINS

My thoughts exactly. These creatures range over vast expanses of ocean during their lives. While I can understand the desire to show whale sharks to people in order to educate them, it seems rather cruel to keep the whale sharks in such exceptionally small habitats - especially FOUR! Kind of a catch-22. Don't educate people about the sharks and they will keep being exploited and wholesale slaughtered. Put them in exhibits, and the individuals kept live unfulfilled lives. :-/

I agree with both of you, too! those sharks would probably like to kill themselves or each other....too bad that they're the plankton eaters.....just think about how far a 6 foot human being travels everyday(especially in america)so a 30 to 45 foot animal, those enclosures are probably a living hell...at the monterey bay aquarium they tried to keep a white shark, but it started gettin sick so they took it back to the ocean.....retarded ass aquariums get a clue...
