You're the one who doesn't know baseball. Santana has been on a slide by his standards since 2006-2007. In 07, he LED THE MAJORS in HR's allowed (33) and the most losses in his career (13). He beats who he should beat.

honestly. Santana has really bad mechanics, not something ud want to copy, the pitchers with the best mechanics are: Roy Halladay, A.J Burnett and Jake Peavey, you really dont want to copy Santana, Sabathia and Willis u can wreck ur arm throwing like they do

actually, burnett's and peavey's mechanics are terrible. all arm mechanics, but they are in the bigs b/c of their fastball. Santana, and sabathia along with lincecum are what you want to strive for to get more out of your body that way your arm isn't doing all the work.

good mechanics make the delivery efficient and less stressful on the arm...doesn't take away stress just reduces it...eventually every pitcher that throws for years and years will break down....pitchers with the most efficient mechanics delay that breakdown....inefficient mechanics speed up that process

actually "Mechanics" is not a good word to use, especially for kids and beginners. Ever individual has a natural arm slot at which he can throw his best and it that should not damage the arm. forcing a player to conform to a certain set of mechanics is taking away from their ability (actually proven with speed and accuracy testing before and after kids were "coached" ) basically they sucked after they we forced to throw specific way. BTW AJ has inverted L, pretty much asking for for injuries..
