yeah hes pretty good for his age but seriously he probably only got on that team because his dad was the coach and he wanted to be on tv i mean if you look at him he messes up a couple times during the drills and he travels when he shoots but dont get me wrong the kids good but maybe you should go back to the basics and the only way ill change my opinion is if he makes a team where his dad isnt the coach
Amazing dribbling skills for his age. Only concern is that
this coach here thinks more about him than his own players. Imagine being the leader of that team... we win a championship and coaches son is treated like the star? obviously that tiny kid wasn't a factor in that tournament or else they would have shown the footage. Perhaps coach is thinking about how rich this kids gonna make him in the future, his own marinovich project. ESPN <3
whats up with all these people disliking, its a little kid for gods sake. i know you guys werent this good at 5 years old. so shut up and stop being so negative about a little kid
Yall some haters I would love to see yalls 5 year old dribble and shoot like this kid. Going behind the back and between his legs. Get out of here! He is going to be awesome when he gross up stay grinding!
Actually kind of sad. Cool that he has some decent ball skills at his age, but he's still only a 5 year old. Fair to say he's the next big deal already? I'm more interested in how this kid comes out of all this hype mentally. Are the parents teaching him other life skills? While it may not be the same scenario, reminds me of the movie "Hoop Dreams".
Many people dont know that nearly all kids are both handed a long time of there childhood even the first 2 years in school they can do alot both handed, 2 learn this as a kid is pretty easy. i work in a kindergarten.
Lots of these kid prodigy in the end dont work out cause they get big headed take drugs stop doing training and sooner or later fall behind and lose strength also for basketball he could end up being 5 foot then hes fucked unless he gets a 60 inch vertical jump
Some of you are saying that he wouldn't be good in a game and he won't be anything when he's older, but I know reese, he loves basketball and will try to become really good. He was at my MB nation tryouts today and I was watching him play on the other court in a small pickup game against 5 and 6th graders and he was shooting driving and stealing the ball from them, he's better than most kids in 4,5,6th grade...
How has he been playing since 03? If it's 2012 and he's 5 shouldn't he be -4 years of age when he started? Or he starting shooting as sperm? Lol get it 'shooting' LOL
I've seen so much crap like this in youtube were parents put their young kids in a pedestal with the title as " PRODIGY, BBALL STAR, Best Ever...., when it's all a CRAP!
Check out my 8 year old son who is a true 8 year old baller that will outball any of your PRODIGY and such!
@iprpcp - So you don't like it when people put their kids on youtube but your telling everyone to check out your son? What's the difference? Your son might be better yet he is 3 years older than this kid so what are you comparing? If you cannot admit that this kid is pretty damn coordinated for his age....then you have no idea what you are talking about!
@kpmorgan: Not what I meant! I meant to say the Title of videos parents put on their kids videos are somewhat and most of the time misleading is what I meant to say. Prodigy, Best ever, Superstar, etc.... When in fact there are waaaay better kids out there in the same age group than this kid including mine but I will NOT mislead viewers to say my son is the best ever or what not.
@iprpcp : ANOTHER THING! Misleading as a 5 year old WINNING in an 19U (Mens) Team Basketball is such a misleading statement! Be REAL is all I'm saying!!!
@shadowseliteguard : We'll see because bball is not all about knowing how to dribble one or even 2 or 3 balls. It has a lot to do with physical abilities and bball IQ. Note my son is 8 playing in the 10u AAU D1 Division also. At least my son is not 5 years old playing in an 19u bracket D1 just like the title stated in this video.
You see this all the time, these young prodigies that look amazing at such young ages, but wear themselves out by the time they really need to be successful. He will regret not living his childhood like a normal 5 year old.
@SportsGuy2194 Explain to me how that makes me a pussy....I'm still impressed, I'm just stating something I noticed. Chill out.....So many youtubers overreact so fu*king much. I just don't get why some people get so defensive.
@SportsGuy2194 LOL i wasn't pointing at you, just other douchebags that say,"No one cares" to my comment and obviously has even less of a life than me. I was just thinking it was odd they would add that clip of him to glorify him when it had a flaw. xD I have nothing against him. When I was six, I was still on my ass playing with power rangers and watching Pokemon. :D
he is 5 but look at him dribble. there are still kids on varsity highschool teams who cant dribble like that. if he works hard he could go far. he has the natural ability
Man that shit was weak my dad and I used to do that in the backyard when I was 3 and unlike this kid I have footage of me actually playing with 8th graders when I was 6 years old not sitting on the bench like this kid and then my dad put up a video saying " I'm a 5 year old national champion", and then I do a simpleton drill dribble 2 balls this was lame
Honestly, I think he's more of a gimmick in that league. He's playing with guys literally twice his height. Looking at the way he shoots the ball using all his energy, I doubt he can get shots off. We all know he got in because his dad is the coach. This video doesn't include him playing in a game either. Well, he may be good against kids in his age group, but definitely not these teens.
