So- in the relative universe the observer...the conscious being....is participating in a collaborative synergy when it is engaged with another being of vibrations that harmonize with its own. In that union there are infinite possibilities. I think that the emotional response from this back and forth is an indication of self realization not reached when experienced as "I am alone".
I have to agree with TheObnubilators, you appear, here, like you are almost, if not entirely, open! There is something about the message of this one that seems unfiltered. Needless to say, it's nice to see.
I like this video. I think about this kind of thing often. Sadly, I feel like I spend too much time in the forgetful state of mind. Its good to know all of us are waiting in that place of realization..
I really liked that you said that it's God who suffers. That is a profound thought, outright heretical in fact.
Interesting video and topic man. the hardiest thing in entering any new relationship is to me getting to feel so comfortable that you can behave as yourself and not put up a image that you believe may make you more attractive to the person.
d that is what explains how magical societies actually used magic effectively; through telepathy. But like the myth of Eden man fell from grace in this respect. But fear not! Jean writes of the concretization of latent structures of consciousness and how this relates to our further intesification of personal consciousness. Perhaps this experience of seeing from anothers eyes or re-emergence into the collective is a concretization of these latent structures. In any case i thinkyouareontosomething
Just watched the vid. and i gotta say its deeply felt within me. The feeling you are talking about seems to resonate when i think about how two people meet and together form a greater form of manifestation that is larger than themselves.
I am about halfway through Jean Gebser's Ever-Present Origin, and in it he talks about telepethy. I understand his conception of telepathy as a being hive-mind or like a web of consciousness. He claims that this telepathy was how primitive man communicated an
I had a lucid dream the other night.. Only had a few ones my whole life, and what strikes me is that i can experience as a duality that which is really myself. I mean, in the dreams when i'm lucid, i communicate with a person who i know for a fact is myself or the product of myself; and that every joke or thought or comment really comes from my own brain. Yet when i am there in the dream it feels as real as any normal waking duality between me and other :)
thats real poetry matt you said it(how can i reply to that: imagination just imagine saying nothing i try to make an anolgy end up with a beer)i thought that was good usage the word perception sometimes its just the way it is with all us folks we forget and that word we. were all in the soup bowl together
I try to get these things things across to some people but I dont have the same gift of being able to explain these kinds of concepts to others without appearing to them as a complete nut case. gonna have to link em to you. keep em commin!
"I would be only interested in seeing my eyes when they look at you..." Roland Barthes
Lacan, among others, said that we only know ourselves through the eyes of the Other. So "self image" really doesn't belong to us; as you point out, the line between self and the other becomes blurred at this level
You are right on Ram Dass also would agree with you 100%, and his friend Tim Leary too. Good stuff
It is beautiful, but yes, difficult to maintain this ideal of oneness. I think there are certain aspects of reality and day to day living that make us separate while at the same time these same realities draw us back to one another.
looking into another person's eyes for an extended time is mind altering when we let go of ourselves. i think it's as much an experience of something 'other' as it is an experience of 'we'.
-To me purpose does exist. I think that our human relationships in regards
to relative terms is a smaller system of a bigger process- to understand ourselves as ourself- collective consciousness if you will.
Example:
I am green
-to Blue I contrast in value, saturation, and hue
- that is only information about me in retrospect to Blue
and it is completely unique.
-I am the rainbow...The relationship between blue
and green is part of who I am. with out them I am
affected.

You have a gift of making complex ideas less so. I have been
reading in integral theory for years and Gebser is a house-
hold name. Still, there is a simplicity you bring to his research
that is fresh and immediate. Your observations on the eyes prompts me to ask if you would

great vid here man, i felt a level of intimacy and conviction here.
the curtain doesn't close yes, but we don't have to continue it by moving down from the realization. the play can be held up
