nah, the sound is better from behind, you get the full force of it (way ahead of its time, as far as sound goes). I could be wrong but one of these early superchargers probably doesn't have that big of a whine... since its not belt driven? I could be wrong.

@alexander1485 : Belts don't whine, gears whine, gear drives whine, and supercharger rotors or impellers can whine.

When the camera's next to the engine it sounds like it's knocking....
I wish you would have been standing in front when he revved it so we could hear the supercharger whine!
