It's hard to believe that this wasn't made for American T.V. audiences rather than French, what with it being in English and Orson Welles narrating. I looked up the date, 1970! Thanks for uploading this to youtube
I absolutely LOVED it! I just love his humour, I couldn't stop laughing! What a nut! ♥ The tinfoil was a reverse-run of footage. A joke...with the look....See? FUNNY GUY!!!! bahahaha
at 35:57 with the sheep i thought "wow, that's horrible" then at 36:00 with the baby i thought "wow, that's criminal". i have loved dali for years, now i don't know if i have more or less respect for him after watching this. i believe an artist should please themselves and care nothing of the opinions of others in regards to their art. dali has done this. i am horrified and enthralled.
Love it! Thanks for posting...I remember watching this in art class in 7th grade, and never saw it anywhere again until now. 12:20-12:40 cracks me up so much.
Kudos to the man who taught us to seriously laugh at ourselves, our whims, our memories, our civilities, our conventions, our attachments, our convictions, our horrors and our joys. Even today he still challenges and encourages us to abandon our self-imposed limitations, our boxes, and to step out into the landscape of perspective with courage and determination. Once we have done that we can begin to live! Gracias maestro!
