@ralatorre9 Yes, this Z is the same speedwise as any 05-10 GT. Any trim Z, not just nismo. Look up a comparison test on google with 07Z/Shelby GT/RX8/AUDI TT, I believe it's by car and driver, and the results mirrored this vid. Same 1/4 time as the mustang.

@TheSmoonge You are absolutely right sir, the 350z before '07 came with the VQ35DE which, in 03-04 had 287 hp, and in 05-06 had 300 hp. In 07, they came out with the VQ35HR which had 306, but was actually a significant difference from the DE's. The DE was capable of run 0-60 times in the 5's all day, so these people who tested this car definitely didn't know how. The nismo 350z, being that it's lighter than a normal HR, can run 0-60 times in the mid-high 4's.
@spartanxxx17 Err...the Nismo is actually heavier than a base HR Z, at around 3350lbs, about in the middle of 350Z weight, and the best 0-60 is indeed 5.0-5.1 seconds, no 4's at all. Any pre-07 Z will do a best of 5.4. Trust me on this, I'm a huge Z fan and live on the nissan forums.
The 370Z is lighter and has more power, but even it cannot hit mid 4's, doing a best of 4.7. It does, however, have a much nicer rear bumper unlike the horribly ugly 350z nismo one...

As far as the nismo goes, I have actually come to like the rear bumper of the 350 nismo. I used to hate it with a passion, but it actually fits the car pretty well.

my dad has this car and i think that the ride is terrible. its rough, loud and it raddles everywhere. i do not reccomend it for an average driver. he takes it racing. but on the drive there and back i hate the damn car.

I own the 289th 2007 nismo 350z and I can tell you that IMO even tho the car lacks a bit of power, its handling is simply incredible. Its handling have nothing to do with the handling of a normal 350z. I've driven countless cars, bmw 3-5-7 series, g35, 350z, corvettes ect, I don't remember any car to have the handling of the nismo. The car have some sort of horizontal argon shocks towers in the front and back that controls the body's torsion, first time me and my friends saw that on any cars.

actually in japan...the infiiniti g35 and g37 are known as nissan skylines...they just arent gtr's...teh chassis codes for them are v35 and v37 respectively. just becasue they aren't called skyline's in america doesnt mean they arent skylines. they are sold as skylines in the japanese domestic market. they have different seats, headlamps, tal lamps, and etc.

My daily driver is turbo miata that pushes 220 at the wheels and weighs a mear 1,300 lbs, which is very sufficient. I would rather piss all over my miata with the top off before i bought a WRX. The Nismo has its downfalls, but it makes up for it when your hitting 35 mph turns at 60 and 70. I will agree that the tranny on this car is a bit underbuilt its not meant for harsh shifting on the quarter mile, its meant to handle not haul ass in a st8 line.
it's funny to me that the 0-60 times and the quarter mile of the 370z, w/ 30 more hp and lighter frame, are almost exactly the same! HMMMMM 30,000 for 370z, or 15,000 for a nice used 350z.... i'll take the 350z thank you.

My daily driver is turbo miata that pushes 220 at the wheels and weighs a mear 1,300 lbs, which is very sufficient. I would rather piss all over my miata with the top off before i bought a WRX. The Nismo has its downfalls, but it makes up for it when your hitting 35 mph turns at 60 and 70. I will agree that the tranny on this car is a bit underbuilt its not meant for harsh shifting on the quarter mile, its meant to handle not haul ass in a st8 line.

it's funny to me that the 0-60 times and the quarter mile of the 370z, w/ 30 more hp and lighter frame, are almost exactly the same! HMMMMM 30,000 for 370z, or 15,000 for a nice used 350z.... i'll take the 350z thank you.

I still find the interior of the 370z is > than the 350z by far. You also have to give credit that the 370z has that revmatch transmission.

This is e46 M3 price used. CSL M3 made 350hp with lux sedan int as M5. Z4M 2 seat had same M 333hp engine. Box S price today.
I lean towards German Cars, quality and used parts, adult owners, and serious web forums are more friendly.

they forget about the 99 subaru impreza coupe? guess they did not count that...(250-280hp turbo, awd, and light weight, not to mention handling will kill that 350z...most 1999 wrx coupes run in the low $10k now-a-days

the 99 coupe is more practical anyway. more trunk and passenger room. would you rather have a nice, throaty impreza or a lazy. torque v6 that looks unsuitable to all season driving. impreza has higher mpg too.

What I think they met was fastest RWD car on a road course not in a straight line. 03-04Cobras do 12.9 1/4 and 4.6 0-60 While the stock Z is 13.4 1/4 and 4.9 0-60.
