this is amazing :D definitely need one of those anatomy figures, i finished my head sculpt and im working on the body now, thanks to your videos i can use them as reference lol
ps
would you check out my new video showing my head sculpt? :) id like to know what you think
I totally agree about references! The more ways you can study: life drawing, skeletons, anatomy books, etc. They all help improve the quality and level of believability.
No, I started about a year ago and this is my first full firgure. I have only done about six pieces so far. They appear to be getting alittle better each time.....lol. I have gone back and tried to watch all of your videos. They have been a great help.
@11oldgoat Get two books and read them.. they are the ones that got me started in the 60s.. You can get them on Amazon..
Naked Came I by David Weiss, and
The Agony and the Extacy by Irving Stone..
I read these in High School and both inspired me to sculpt. Naked is about Rodin.. the Agony is about Michealangelo... Amazing books, both well written.
The leg looks great out here in the video. Thank you for telling how much clay was used in making the leg. It is hard to tell some things just from the video.
