Another thing ppl need to keep in mind is that this performance was done a few years ago. Chris Brown already did a MJ performance a few yrs back as well due to MJ's absense at some Music award show. Even at that time CB's performance was more solid than O's but as whole Omarion to me does a really good job of putting his own twists to MJ's routines which make him more versitile than CB. Both are GREAT dancers though, both are on top.

Chris Brown is way better than Omarion at the MJ tribute. Chris Brown is now better than Usher. when was the last time you saw Usher go at it dancing hardcore in one of his vids? it's like he slacks now because he's older. But he's still great. But MJ was better than all of them combined.
@EasyTrollin Chris Brown has done more tributes though, although i'm not going to argue that statement cause I agree, Chris Brown is the best when it comes to doing MJ imitation. I think O and CB are neck and neck when comes to dancing as a whole, O is SICK. Usher is past his prime, but then again, he is a much better SINGER then both CB and O combined, so in fairness their all great artist, while Usher is still King.
I admit, I've doubted Chris Brown's abilities since he's been in music. I always felt as though he did a lot of breaking moves very well, but didn't have the showmanship of MJ or Usher. He's definitely getting more seasoned, though. What makes his tribute stand out over Omarion's are a few things:
1. His body type: Chris is longer and thinner (most of the time. He seems to struggle with his weight a little nowadays). This makes his movement seem more akin/identical to Mike's when he emulates him.
2. Omarion's tribute was more of a rendition or spin-off of Mike's original Motown 25 performance. And, it was condensed with one other MJ song in less than 4 mins (3 mins of which he isn't even part of the performance). There are variables that make this tribute almost completely different...
...and almost impossible to compare. Chris' was more of a complete impersonation rather than a rendition.
In my estimation, I admittedly underestimated Chris Brown. I think he's a strong performer and did an excellent job on the BET AWARDS. But, I've come to the conclusion that as strong as it was, I think Omarion is still the better overall dancer/performer. I question his choreography sometimes. But, he's a more highly talented dancer.

In My Honest Opinion,, No One....I Mean No Matter What Or Who Sings Michael Jackson's Songs Will Never Be As Great As The King Himself. All These Tributes Are Wonderful But They Should Play The Original Music && Dance To It, Rather Than Them Singing. But OverAll They Try Right :) Props To Them!
I loved this but I've never seen anyone able to duplicate the lightning quick hiccup moves Michael put into his dance. It's what made MJ one of a kind. It's such an honor and testament to Michael that so many people try and I love seeing him honored like this.

In My Honest Opinion,, No One....I Mean No Matter What Or Who Sings Michael Jackson's Songs Will Never Be As Great As The King Himself. All These Tributes Are Wonderful But They Should Play The Original Music && Dance To It, Rather Than Them Singing. But OverAll They Try Right :) Props To Them!

I loved this but I've never seen anyone able to duplicate the lightning quick hiccup moves Michael put into his dance. It's what made MJ one of a kind. It's such an honor and testament to Michael that so many people try and I love seeing him honored like this.

@mariraji191 Its not about what moves you're doing , it's how you do them. I never saw anybody move with such flexibility as Michael , he makes dance look stunning. These people today may can dance great but they are stiff and rushed , it's like they are trying to hard. Michael always looked like he was gliding or creating magic illusions when he danced , look at his captain eo dance rehearsal.

Whoever was doing the singing for 'wanna be starting something' was complete shit - shameful.
Omarion prolly shouldve focused on dancing than singing for this - the songs were a little out of his range, and even though he tried to scale it down for thriller, it just wasn't working.
HOWEVER, imo he's the best dancer in terms of channelling michael - he moves VERY precise, like at 1:27-1:30 for example

@satanknight14 IDK, I saw Brown's Thriller in 06 when MJ received yet another record award & his Thriller was pretty Bad, I don't only mean the singing, the dancing was atrocious. & he did it all when MJ was there watching his horrid piss poor imitation. So that was either the best he could do in front of his idol or he didn't practice more.

@satanknight14 Michael would never have approved this . .. neither the singing nor the dancing meet his standards. I mean EVERY MJ performance was AMAZING for its musicality, rhythm and choreography. MJ added complicated theatricality. A truly ly good tribute would have to incorporate to some extent various elements from different genres into A performance. MJ who had the talent for several genres! No one today can do multiple genres in A piece of art like MJ could.
