@cookiemoster567 That was the joke. You had Olive Oyl, this skinny, ugly girl who was self-centered and fickle to boot, and yet, some reason, she always had guys who seemed to be falling over her. It also helped that Popeye wasn't the most attractive guy either. Olive herself commented shortly after they first met that she'd kiss him if he wasn't so funny looking.

I never liked Olive Oyl at all. I hate Bluto as well so i'd have to say that Popeye is the only character I like in this cartoon, and not just because of his accent. Ironically, Friday the 13th isn't actually all bad. It's when the christian's kicked the muslims out of the christian church. Then again it is also the day Jesus got crucified. The really very unlucky day should be Friday the 6th because Friday, overall, is an unlucky day anyway and 6 is even more unlucky than 13.

Heh, I used to watch these cartoons when I was a kid. Sadly, my parents decided to take the only Popeye video we had from me and my brother, reason being that they were too violent. However, the funny thing is, that they allowed us to play all kinds of violent games back then, i.e. Mortal Kombat :D
