Richards and Goulet are not goons, looks to me like no one knows what was being said on the ice to cause this altercation. Easy for all to judge when you are not involved. Go Thunder!
@mmwangi14 You're a clueless homer. In the regular season they had a combined 15 points and 320 penalty minutes between them in 87 combined games played. They do nothing but look for trouble.
And while I may not know what was said on the ice, I DO know that this came right after an altercation at the other end of the ice where the Komets goalkeeper taunted the Thunder keeper Marty Magers. So the coach sent out Goulet AND Richards in a purely 'goon it up' move. No class...
The first altercation prior to this one I could understand, but this garbage was just goonery on the part of Richards and Goulet. With the faceoff in front of their own net the game was over. I guess the Komets have a rival in the CHL now. No more regular season matchups with Wichita so here's hoping we see 'em in the playoffs
