  • She's my neighbor

  • @Rozrr obviously you dont know too much about this woman or the dance.. she is very intricate with all her dance moves.. she flows and is a great performer.. !

  • great solo! My son and I were mesmerized and it was well worth the watch. Keep up the beautiful work!

  • I'd love to leave a few words of praise and admiration for sharing this dance.....but I'll have to wait 'til my jaw is off the floor and my eyeballs are popped back into my head. must...watch...again...and again. BRAVA!

  • We love you! This inspired us (Kristin & Jessica) to start level I belly dancing classes in PDX. We want to be as beautifully elegant in dance expression as you. Thank you, K & J

  • i love this impro ^^, she is great

  • Well, she's pure sex, isn't she? I love her costume and jewelry.

  • I love her style, its like something possessed her and shes being carried by the music, and in my opinion her arms work because they look strong.

  • Yes it's a music by great Hossam Ramzy: "West Naima (Naima's Hip)" on his album "Sabla Tolo: Journeys into Pure Egyptian Percussion".

  • This song is By Hossam Ramzy he is an Egyptian man and you can find his CD just about anywhere he has many CD's.

  • yes, i like her style and her dance, but what happen with her arms? XD

    nice:)

  • i reeeally like her style of dancing.

  • btw, i forgot... does know the title of this music???

  • she's made it very tribal and i totally like it (her style)!!!!! but i dont like her trousers, in my opinion they should cover all legs, or not at all :P

  • i danced to this song also, so if u want to see my video... please comment constructively cuz that would make me a better dancer...! thanks

  • I think that's really a great thing, asking for constructive comment. It shows your passion as a dancer. I'll go take a look at your videos right now=)

  • she's great! but what's wrong with her arms!! o.O they're not too good, aspecially compared to the rest of her moves...but lovely drums

  • I still love watching this video. It's what turned me to this form of belly dance

  • i just saw her perform yesterday with circus tribal and it was amazing...

  • cuuuuuute!!!

  • I like how she actually uses her feet to dance, especially in the beginning. I think it's more exciting when a dancer actually moves around the stage like that instead of just standing in one spot. She's fun to watch.

  • i LOVVVVEEEE thisss!!!

  • She looks like she's been ripped out of a medeival fairy tale!!!

    I loove it <3

  • she look soooo sweeeet...she makes me smile..;)

  • Such a fun dancer to watch. I love her unique style.

  • It is just the way she puts her arms in a position not unsual..that makes the total difference. She dances with her feelings and not with technical moves!! u.u

    She´s perferct! that´s all!

  • I agree that the posture and the arms looked bad. Think someone used to work lazy.

but other from that shes excellent. Very skilled.

  • I just saw this for the time, and before reading through too many of the past posts I just wanted to say that I loved what you did with your arms and posture. It was like the music was moving the rest of your body without your awareness and then when the arms came in and joined it felt like you became wholly a part of the music... and the whole time those hips and chest just kept doin' their thang. Absolutely amazing!

  • Nice costume and nice dancing

  • holy moley! That is immpressive, great job!

  • ОФИГЕТЬ!!!! AMAZING!!

  • She is unique, and that is a rare thing in the dance world today. She lets the music take her over and expresses great joy in her dance. Very playful and confident. I love it.

  • Let's see your dancing and let others decide if you are good enough to judge??

  • Well, you are kind of a beezie. Judging from your name, you're a dancer, and this is posted by the troupe, so she probably looks at it occasionally. Why don't you try some constructive criticism? Even were I to agree with you, we should all be supportive of our beautiful dance community, don't you think?

  • he heals aren't supposed to touch the ground....

  • I agree about the heels but I didn't notice till I read your comment. that's because the movement of of her waste is excellent.Good posture is used to keep a dancer more comfortable and stable. so if she is comfortable with her heels not touching the ground. That's her business as long as her moves are as imressive as that and as long as she wears a long skirt to cover her legs going all over the place.Maybe she's used to dancing with high heels?!

  • A lot of dancers stay on the balls of their feet. I personally find it easier to balance when i'm moving quickly.

  • It is not that comfortable for me unfortunately!! 'cause I have flat feet. So, for me, balance is such a challange actually!!

  • i cant wait until i can join a troupe!! I want to be this good!

  • You make incredibly intricate, detailed movements, locks and isolations look so effortless. So relaxed and yet so totally on the beat and controlled. Fabulous!

  • OHHHH! Love it darling. You are fabulous!I totally loved it. Sawjja Gypsyheart

  • I like the way Emily rolls her head back at certain points during the dance. It looks like she's going into a trance. I also like that she lets her arms drop to the side. It's different and it makes the dance seem less formal somehow.

  • shes good but there is somthing about it i realy dont like i cant put my finger on it.

  • yes... coming from someone who can't spell POSTURE your comment doesn't seem to carry much weight. Whats she does here is incredibly difficult and she was excellent. Generated a lot of energy and she was graceful.

  • Where did you get the drum solo, its fab?

  • it's called west naima (naima's hip) by hossam ramzy

  • true that! she got the spirit!

  • i never get tired of this video! please post more!

  • excelent! I loove this video

  • If there's such thing as a ''killer drum solo'', this could be a blueprint....awesome threads, too!

  • drums are amazing!!

  • so professional, magical... perfect!

  • you kick butt sister! pickles

  • Like the goddess of the moon!

    You are great. Very nice!

  • You're just great

  • I lovw the way you dance, its fun!

  • haha I have met her. I danced w/ her. she is SOOOOO good!

  • Is her body playing music or music dancing her body? this is fantastic. It makes me smile.

  • i liked it because it looked like her body became lost in the dance. Just awesome!

  • lovely but i didn't like the way she used her arms...... the most great thing in tribal stile is the magnificent use of arms, and here i don't see any

  • Great dance! She really enjoyed herself and it was something fresh!

  • Dead sexy.

  • move your hands and arms a little more feminin!

  • I loved it!

My only complaint is that sometimes her arms look a little dead.

But maybe that's just her style?

Anyways I think it was AWESOME.

    I dig it.

  • Our troupe also dances to Niama's Hip. Loved your Solo! Costume was fantastic and you looked like you really enjoyed yourself out there. Great work, post some more stuff!

  • great tribal! Thanx

  • wow! Thanks for sharing!!

  • uuuuh! super! she is as fire!

  • WOW...i loved it.

  • She's good. The only thing that is wrong is her poster and the parts where her arms are lagging. It would have made it look a little sharper. Other than that she's great!!! I love it!!

  • what is the name of the drum solo the artist?

    what track is it??

  • Fantastic. This reminds me of why I keep doing my isolation drills.

Inspiring, especially for an originally cabaret style girl (now GBD), to see a different tabla solo.

  • This is freaking awesome. Thankyou for sharing.

  • This is obviously what my instructor has been talking about when she said to practice bellydancing and make it your own. The costume may have said tribal but the style was excellent. Thank you for sharing!!

  • Absolutly fantastic!,I really dig her style!

  • Is this like goth belly dancing or something? Sorry, not really used to this style.

  • She really does have her own style, and I love it!

  • Fucking awsome!!!

  • I'm new to bellydance and have never seen anyone dance like this. Is this a style, and if so does it have a name?

  • According to a costume it's Tribal style. But as a dancing teacher I must say that this girs has her own unique style of performing! Shake your hand, dancer! You've mage great work!

  • This drum solo is played by Hossam Ramzy and my instructor often dances on this song. There are not videos of her on you tube but I can tell you that she does much better than this!

  • who cares? this isn't about your instructor, its about Miss Alrick. I think she did a fantastic job!

  • I was talking about my instructor because when I hear this song it reminds me of her dancing on it but I can't compare them because they are completely different styles. Emily did a fantastic job in tribal style, I just knew the Egyptian one, so I learnt a new way of dancing which is not bad!

  • sorry I misunderstood you

  • Don't worry..for me youtube has been very useful because I could open my eyes over the bellydance world and see that there are millions of ways to dance and every woman has her own peculiar style. This is what makes the difference. Cheers : )

  • a non-famous tribal dancer that doesn't look like a cheap imitation of Rachel Brice... good job of putting it together

  • Ooooh, Raquy and the Cavemen, I love it! The dancer's really good, too. :)

  • she is hot

  • Awesome! I absolutely loved it, so relaxed, graceful and just enjoying the music. My fav part was at 2:10-2:15...That was the highlight for me, it was different -I've never seen any other performer do that before...Anywayz whole perfomance was amazing!

  • THATS WAS AWESOME! Who is the music by? Does anyone know? My husband wants to learn that drum solo.

    THANK YOU!

  • wow! she is amazing!!

  • Damn...I love how Emily moves to this song. She is hitting every beat....good stuff and the song is amazing.

  • nice to see the free spirits in tribal out there... bringing all that energy to share with us. mucho luv to u miss emily. <3

    xXx mon

  • Emily is awesome :0)

  • I love the costume. Dance and performer great too.

  • wow

  • I think in most other cases I'd find the arms sloppy, but Emily makes it work. Like ZenDances said, it adds to the spontaneity in this instance.

  • I like the arms. They're relexed but its purposful. Its obvious she knows what she's doing.

  • I LOVE the relaxed arms - its got such style and expresses joy very well. I hate finished arms!

  • very nice solo!! I loved it, but like all bellydance performers, there is always room for improvement. Never stop dancing. you have wonderful talent!!!

  • I love watching this video, it reminds me of what dancing at an event should be...fun!So much energy!

  • I think it looks like bellydance in a BELLYDANCE costume

  • If you don't think that is a bellydance costume, you don't know a thing about other bellydance styles.

  • nice work;-) need to work more your arms and your feets. and I agree, it look like cabaret in tribal csotumes;-) anyway nice work

  • beautiful!i noticed someone criticizing your arms and posture but I disagree. Obviuously you have amazing technique and I think occasionally relaxing your stance adds to the spontaneous, heart-filled feel of the solo. It doesn't come off as "technique-y" or stiff. and i like that!

  • the woman is beautiful and I love her movements, cause they are natural and you can see how she enjoyed it

  • Very nice dancing, however, it looks like cabaret in a tribal costume

  • nice movements, really enjoyed watching

  • you need more posture and be careful with your amrs, you sort drop them so u mke the dance look sorta lazy lookin, the rest is fine =)

song is from hozzam ramsi cidi i think

  • i need to learn to get my hips to move that way

  • This is West Naima isn't it? I love playing this piece!

  • Yes, it's West Naima. It's a great song!

  • Outstanding, jaw-droppingly awesome. :oD x

  • improvisation???? it's verrry nice!! I can see, how much she enjoys it. she looks like a vampire with this pale skin:)

  • Awesome! I love how natural the movements are.

  • wowza!!!! very awesome dancer!!! rocks!!!

  • Anyone knwo the name of the song?

  • awesome... tribal belly is the best and it is because of dancers like that... too good

  • Ilove this video. The costume is awsome. Did you make this costume or did you get it somewhere?

  • U are a goddess belong recognition ur movments were so powerful so expressive u movelike the music amazin!

  • Fantastic!! Beautiful movement and shimmies!!

  • WHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Thanks for sharing, let's have more!!!

  • Great perfomance!!! nice improv!!!

  • critisism, if I gave you some of that , it would just mean I'm jealous. great drum solo .

  • That was great! I love how you used all the space available and didn't just stand in one spot...so many dancers forget that they can move around! And I hope I get as good as you with all those incredible layers one day! Right on!

  • What a Goddess! Awesome drum solo! The audience ate it up!!

  • Oh, dear! I can't find anything bad to say about it. This (sincerely) was one of the best drum solo performances I have ever seen! Most people are so serious and stiff when doing drum solos. You seem so relaxed, and it's more like the music is coming out of you, than you responding to the music. I love the looseness of your head and neck and the playful quality of it. I added it to my Favorites!!

  • OMG!! that was fantastic!

  • Very fun to watch!! Loved it! I'm really a beginner so sorry i'm no good for criticisms!
