he has been a media/dream mentor/master/"friend" since i was about 18, informed helped my life in many ways, never a bum out vibe really, more thoughtful and method to master/surf the darkness?
I saw him live afew days ago and he was absolutely amazing as it was the first time I ever saw him live.He even played a song that was going to be on his upcoming album and I am looking foreward to it!This video is amazing.
Very nice. I can't say I'm glad that the band broke up, though I can understand some of the "why's". I mean, if touring with a rock band all the time was leading him to use massive amounts of narcotics and alcohol or damaging his life in some way he's gotta think of himself first. Tha min issue I had was the sniping I saw, those guys music got me through my teen years, it bugs me to see them so hostile when they work so brilliantly together.
Here is the setlist for the show I filmed this at:
Silence,Butterfly,Shadows On The Mountainside,Psychopomp,Requiem,
I Love You,The Messenger,Daystar,Lament,Sister Awake,Sun Going Down/Blacksnake Blues,Angeldust,The World is Calling,The Bazaar,Oceans,White Water Siren,In This Time,The Kingdom,Goodtime Song,Save Me,In Your Eyes.
SHadows on the Mountainside is absolutely the greatest song The Tea Party ever made and the live performance almost brings tears to my eyes it's so beautiful. what's fucking tragic is that is the ONLY live version I can find of it and the quality is abysmal. God, I wish I could hear that live once in my life. I'd probably break down in tears.
I couldnt believe this clip when I saw it on his website, my mate, g/f and I were behind the guy with the camera. We went to both shows he did at The Hyde Park that weekend, great atmosphere. To anwser the question above, he played about 6 Tea Party tunes with a melody in there somewhere... Just an amazing artist.
I agree. He's made a massive mistake in ditching those guys. Time will be the best judge . . . just ask David Lee Roth, Billy Corgan, Scott Stapp, etc.
