  • :) ahhhh memore's of playing this game in frustrashon

  • When I played Windy Valley, I was like "Green Grove?"

  • almost all of SA soundtracks are remixes

  • Green Grove? more like Green Groove!

  • This reminds me of Sonic Adventure DX (SADX) Windy Valley 3

  • windy valley sonic adventure "the air" classic remix

  • i wish it was be Sonic generation

  • Where in the world did you find this soundtrack? ;;

  • I have to say, the saturn music is a bit better.

  • @Abipom11 Agreed, but this song got its due in Sonic Adventure 1 with Windy Valley.

  • @roguea yeah, it did.

  • So.....Wind Valley is a remix? Never thought of that til now!

  • @Pokebob1 Yep there's a lot of old songs that got remixed into later games. Did you know that the song "back in time" from sonic r got remixed into the Day time adabat theme? You can hear the similarities between the two.

  • @DayLaMike never heard of those 2 songs. I'll listen to it now.

  • I never thought Windy Valley was a remix of until I heard this. GREAT WORK!!!!

  • @MrPetersonic100 I didn't know that until last year, yet I had both games... Strange...

  • @MrPetersonic100 me too@

  • apparently nobody looks this song up anymore unless they realize that it's the song for Windy Valley as well...

  • I never even knew the song for Windy Valley was this! Weird...

  • I have this exact version playing when I play on my version of SADX, and not the SA redone version.

  • Green Grove for Sonic Generations :P

  • I remember when playing this game mademe dizzy

  • muzyka przypomina bardzo windy valley

  • sadx Windy Valley

  • @yefermanmierdin

twas in 3d blast first. sorry

  • that bassline

    just epic

  • They truly should bring this back in the upcoming Sonic Generations game, along with its Sonic Adventure's updated form. Given the importance of this music bit, I am a bit surprised in seeing Sega and the Sonic Team not adding this one into the game. :(

  • OOOH STEALING SADX AND lol just kidding I played this before SADX only managed to play it this year and I played 3D blast like 9 years ago xD

  • WHAT THE FUCKING SHIT,THIS IS A RIP-OFF OF WINDY VALLEY STUPID FANHACKS STOP STEALING LAZY FUCKS.

  • @SuperAwesomeTiago this game was made BEFORE sonic adventure dx, dumbass!

  • @freefall742 He was just kidding, dumbass!

  • @link70222 i was kidding 2 :)

  • @freefall742 Well, then, uh... So was I!

  • @SuperAwesomeTiago lmfao you got me for a sec i thought you were serious.

  • So... Cream on Japanese Sonic X said this is her home?

  • Windy Valley FTW! :D

  • The Flickies Dislikes this for remembering the horror it was to be a Badnik

  • This has a resemblance to The Air (AKA Windy Valley Part 3)

  • @avatarchrisrocks More than a resemblance -- the music called "The Air" IS the same tune, not just similar.

  • @theultimatekoopa2 The Sonic Adventure version is the remix to Green Grove Zone Act 1's music. So they are the same

  • @avatarchrisrocks Yeah, that's what I pretty much meant. But the way you said it has a resemblance implied that it was similar but not the same.

  • Panic Puppet Zone Act 1 = Twinkle Cart

Green Grove Zone Act 1 = The Air

Diamond Dust Zone Act 1 = Central City

    :D :D :D :D :D

  • I remember the first time I played this was at Toys R Us. I was about 6 and I remember standing at the Genesis demo console for at least 45 minutes, maybe close to an hour totally and completely mesmerized by this game. <3

And when I heard it remixed into SA, it brought tears to my eyes. :'D

  • Comment removed

  • Nice that this one made it into Sonic Adventure.

  • This game is good!

  • @twibkidx yes it is!

  • @twibkidx FINALLY SOMEONE WHO LIKES THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ArcDarkWolf Stranger in Moscow was recorded from 1993-1994, and Sonic 3 (and Knuckles) both came out in 1994 so it's a possibility, but still it wasn't necessarily stolen, otherwise, you may as well say the entire Lion King video game soundtrack was stolen from Hans Zimmer, Tim Rice and Elton John, and the other singers, composers, right? :P

  • I think of playing this on a beautiful Saturday on Sonic Mega Collection + in 5th grade. It pisses me off because I didn't play outside that Saturday, and this game wasn't much fun.

  • the gameplay sucks but this ost is the 2nd best on the genesis, the 1st is sonic and knuckles

  • Dude I swear youtube abosultly HATES your videos, Is there any fix I can do to make them run smoothly?

  • Jesus christ. with the exception of panic puppet act 1 this is the best piece of music from sonic 3d blast so much so that i got a FUCKING KICKASS remix in sonic adventure!

  • WINDY VALLEY!!! <3 <3

  • The Saturn version has good music, but it's not Sonic-like music. This one fits a lot better imo

  • It sounds like Jun Senoue stole Masato Nakamura's bass guitar.

  • @Adam060756 too right!

  • This should be the music for splash hill zone!!!!

  • I once saw a VIP gameplay video in Mario And Sonic At the Olympic Winter Games, it showed a remix of THIS tune as an alternate tune to the dream skygliding level.

  • Pretty sad that even this game's songs are better than what they're putting in for Sonic 4

  • @AsgardianMight Anything sounds better without that godawful synth they stuck in Sonic 4's tunes.

  • lol

  • I prefer the MD soundtrack :P

  • @cartoonmarc This is the MD soundtrack.

  • @SymbioteIII I am aware of that , yes.

  • Games SEGA Should do: Sonic Adventure 3; Sonic Heroes 2; Sonic R 2, and the rest new games (not only Sonic, Shenmue 3 is also a good idea)

  • Sonic Adventure 16 bit anyone? ;D

  • @HannahJuly - This would be incredible, looking forward to Sonic 4 in its stead.

  • This needs to be extended.

  • Windy Valley Zone 3

(I Have this game for my Nintendo Gamecube)

  • Panic Park Act 1 is also remixed into the awesome Twinkle Park 1!

  • Panic Park?

I think you mean Panic Puppet Zone. That was the theme of Twinkle Park in Sonic Adventure.

  • Oh yeah, thanks for the correction (damn typos)!

  • You're welcome :)

  • i remember shitting myself when i heard this remixed as the theme of Windy Valley zone

  • Jun senoue is one of sega music gods with yuzo koshino

  • sonic 3d has DEFINITELY the best music of all sonics!

  • @xunap agree 100%

  • One of my all-time favourite Sonic tunes

  • luckily i got sonic mega collection before sonic adventure so i know what this music is

  • my favorite track in the hole game.

  • Windy Valley :D

  • its obviously green grove act 1

  • @hugothenerd best sonic rehash music ever. So magical.

  • @hugothenerd YES :D

  • @hugothenerd Green Grove Zone Act 1.

  • Still meaning to transcribe the bass. Excellent bass line.

  • lol i just played this at the same time as the track from windy valley, this one is the tiniest bit faster. fading the two in and out is pretty cool.

    Fuck me I'm bored.

  • I have always loved this game and I dont care about all the people who talk down on it =P

  • good choice to reuse this song for sonic adventure's wind valley zone (sky part) eh?

  • 9/10

It has that charm of a first stage. you're just beginning and everything is just being set up. and you can just dance to this theme. it's so happy almost carnivalesque. way better than The Air remix.

  • What's wrong with the remix?

  • Nothing really. The Air is okay. but this version sounds a tad cheerier imo and more fitting of an early stage.

  • Really, I thought the Air remix sounded just as energetic and cheery, but still every one has their own opinion.

  • anyone notice this is part three of windy valley from sonic adventure?

  • Yes it is, but "The Air" is remixed from this version

  • As was "Twinkle Circuit" (or whatever it's called) remixed from Pupper Panic Zone Act 1....

You know I was expecting to find some retard saying "OMG this game stole this from Sonic Adventure". You know those annoying "never does any research" guys? I'm glad I never found any.

  • @theultimatekoopa2 Yeah. You know what else I hate? When people get SA and SADX mixed up. Same goes for SA2 and SA2B.

  • @Hampsterman4 What I want to know is how the heck did I type Pupper? And It's Panic Puppet, not Puppet Panic <__<. Yes, I know it was me who said Puppet Panic.

  • @theultimatekoopa2 "OMG this game stole this from Sonic Adventure"

  • @gweaterman So you got it all figured out do ya? You couldn't leave well enough alone.

  • @theultimatekoopa2 I couldnt resist

  • @theultimatekoopa2 What kind of moron would need to research that you can clearly tell by listening that it was before sonic adventure

  • @Bundyrumowns Exactly... yet still people are likely to say "OMG this is from Sonic Adventure".

  • @theultimatekoopa2 You don't need to do research to know how nonsensical it would be for a Genesis game to steal music from a Dreamcast game. Also, they're both Sonic games. It's not really stealing if it's from the same series...

  • yep

  • This game was extremely underrated

  • yub, i didn't like when i was a kid but after a while a picked up the Sega and played it all over again and it was superb it just was different and kinda slow

  • I completely agree :)

  • my dentist waiting room had this game it twas da shit

  • does that mean it was good?

  • Yeah, "da shit" is idiotspeak for "good".

  • This brings back so many memories playing this as a little kid.

  • Okay Howard Drossin's gone but the SEGA sound team was still there to give this game a damn good soundtrack! That twanga bass guitar is back and the Studio Who drums and cymbals. A classic music track to start sonic off to rid flickie island of badniks.

  • it was also so good they used it again in sonic adventure (windy valley)

  • i love the bassline

  • I honestly really enjoyed Sonic 3D Blast... in my honest opinion, it was the last GOOD Sonic game. Though I slightly enjoyed Sonic Heroes, ultimately I think that the majority of Sonic friends (including myself) couldn't stand to see the blue hero leave his side scrolling goodness to the 3D realm which meant Sonic would be left in the dust due to advancing technology. Even this game wasn't truly 3D, it was a 3/4ths overhead view using pixels. And it was fun! But alas, I digress...

  • I meant "fans" by the way, not "friends"... oops!

  • no love for sonic adventure?

  • Sorry, I just didn't like the loss of the side scrolling action. I know that kind of limits Sonic to the older technology but I barely even liked Sonic Heroes.

  • I actually kinda have to agree with you. The 3D stuff I often see particularly on SonikDude's channel is interesting, but the original Sega games can never be outdone by any of the 3D games in my head. I particularly liked Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

  • Sonic 3 & Knuckles (being the combo of the two games which was totally awesome) did have awesome music. The only one I don't like is Sandopolis Zone.

  • I think the boss in Act One of that zone was dumber.

  • dude sandpolis zone act 2's was awesome!

  • Not the best Sonic title, but it had the best music!

  • I honestly can't see what anybody sees in the Saturn soundtrack that makes it so much better. This has so much life and vibrance, and the Saturn soundtrack sounds like an attempt to just show off the physical capabilities of the sound card, not make good music.

  • awesome music

    poor controls

  • just like windy valley ahhh brings back memories!

  • 5 Stars for nostalgia. That's my childhood right there!

  • I didn't like Sonic 3D Blast that much, but the soundtrack in the Genesis version kicks ass.

  • I'm still a little unsure why, but the music from this game gets me really nostalgic compared to any other game music... Maybe because it was my last Genesis/"oldschool" game? o_O Whatever the reason, this soundtrack is really beautiful. The music just has a certain feel that you don't get out of most games, even in the Sonic series.

  • The game wasn't that fun (impressive given the time it was made, just not fun).

    But god the music rocked.

  • This is also the tune of Windy Valley Zone of Sonic Adventure.

  • I was scanning through the music 2 try and find throwbacks from the present-day games this and panic puppet both go to 2 different tunes in Sonic Adventure DX

  • This is from the Crush 40 guy right?

  • Yup.

  • wtf??

  • Sorry, I was answering DihDin's question.

  • last time I checked.

  • Sorry, I wouldn't have made that comment today.

I've learned that both versions are just as great, just in different ways.

  • No it wasn't. It sucked.

  • And just to let you know, I didn't give you that thumbs down.

  • the saturn version had better game play, but it fucking DESTROYED the soundtrack from this version

  • @Ignigknawt heheh.. the pc version is the first one i played. i downloaded the genesis rom to see if the music was the same (just a midi version)... i was so disappointed to find out it was completely different.

  • @Ignigknawt

Why do alot of people prefer the genesis version? The logic evades me.

  • @mariodude8989211:

Because the Saturn version is a bit on the bland side? Not to mention overrated.

  • @mariodude8989211 For me, I think both versions have their strengths and weaknesses. While the Saturn version is more atmospheric, I think the Genesis version has more complex melodies for each stage. I think I prefer this version because of that, and also because I grew up with these tracks. Most of the songs in the Saturn soundtrack also seem to be a variation of the "main" theme to fit the theme of the level, which is also cool, but detracts from the variety of each level for me a bit.

  • Nope, saturn music is shit.

  • @TheStolken The Saturn version has a great sound track. Though there are some tracks from the Genesis version I prefer. This track and the invincibility theme are two I can think of off the top of my head. Though I love the title screen and speed up music in the Saturn version.

  • Okay, so how many saturn tunes get in your head more than the genesis version?

  • @TheStolken The only Genesis tracks I really prefer over the Saturn ones are the Intro Sequence (sequence exclusive to the Genesis), The invincibility Theme, and the theme to Green Grove. The rest I prefer the Saturn version.

  • Yes, I love unremembered music.

  • @TheStolken Outside of green grove and the boss theme what else is remembered well from Sonic 3D Blast on the Genesis? Very little really. And the only reason those two songs are remembered so well is because they were reused in Sonic Adventure.

  • Spoilers: The boss theme wasn't in Sonic Adventure.

Also spoilers: The Saturn version has music that is more forgettable.

  • @TheStolken Oh but it was in Sonic Adventure. It was remixed into the 2nd part of Emerald Coast. Behold:

    watch?v=6P3yn39VDkk

If you never played the Saturn version then I guess it's music could be considered forgettable. But I remember quite a bit of it more than the Genesis verison. Diamond Dust Zone, Rusty Ruins, Gene Gadget, The Final Fight, The Special Stage Theme, The Speed Up Theme, the Title and intro theme, all stick in my head quite a bit.

  • Sonic had a bad jump from 2D to 3D.

  • I like most of his 3D games. Sonic for the Xbox 360 was the only disgrace.

  • I like them.

  • This song is great, but I hadn't heard it until I heard the Windy Valley version-so that one sticks in my head better.

I actually remeber my first time playing Windy Valley JUST from that song.

  • at least sonic 3d was better than 3d balls!

  • I think 2D Sonic is easier t control than 3D Sonic.

  • So and so game. Great music keeps it from sucking completely

  • Yup. The game, as many have put it, is almost unplayable, but I like the music.
