There are decent people out there who use those tools he describes and take a smaller and flat fee (1, 2 grand). Look for those good lawyers and get that flat, conditional (!), fee in writing. And always try to negotiate with these people first. Don't be afraid to play hardball.
Anyone who thinks indebted people are stupid, you should read "Nickle and Dimed" by Barbara Ehrenreich. She explains that most people can't afford to live on minimum wages. Sure there are some idiots who get into debt because they want prada. That is probably a small segment of the people in debt. Stop judging people when you haven't been broke before. SEriously!!!! Get some empathy.
you dont need a lawyer to do exactly what he charges a killing for, learn to read, and the answers are there. Basic contract law, and an understanding of fractional reserve banking.
