  • The alternator already outputs 12 to 14 volts all by itself. Why take it apart just to modify it to do the same voltages? Just take it out of the old car and use it just as it is. Whats the point in modifying it?

  • @sq2iii I would say low too. My stock ALT can produce 13 something at 800 rpms.

    Not to crush the dreams....One would hope that for all of the tinkering it would be better than the thing you start with. If you do not know the output of the ALT to start with....how does one know if they got it right. An ALT is a simple thing so to play around with the stuff that makes it up but still the same...just a different look.
