  • It's a shame to see developers get all excited about this game only to find out it bombed, who thought of the release date for this game to between Halo Reach and Black ops, it got lost when all the triple A titles were all released.

  • Fail all I can say fail. Actually that's not all I can say. Why the heck are they making the game into a clone of armored core? Bring back the damn turnbased strategy version of the game. I'm sure it will sell better. Thumbs down for the game.

  • @Lazy8Eight Code geass ran in japan since 2006, first mission started in 2008.

  • @SilverGunZoO

wrong again front mission been around since 1995, a simple wiki search could have told you that.

  • @Lazy8Eight What I've told is from wiki

  • @SilverGunZoO

sure it is and wiki also says Front Mission 5 never came out on December 29, 2005 in Japan...

  • @Lazy8Eight ok I guess you're right

  • @SilverGunZoO

wrong Front mission has been around way longer then Code Gayass and lots of these design are throw back from earlier on in the series. Code whatever you called it most likely got there mech design from this franchise or the Armor core series.

  • looks like armoured core

  • straight away i see armored core in this game, i love the style they've applied to the mechs, in the newest PS3 armored core the mechs were mostly sharp points and strange shapes, but its great to see double helix and square enix returning to more aethetically please shapes while retaining great game mechanics, and adding something the armored core series never had - story.

  • @timothy9393 Mechs (here called wanzers) in Front Mission games always had such style, calm, no crazy shapes at end those are mass produced machines, bit better than tanks, they need to work in teams on the battlefield in order to survive.

  • @LordKellAset well that's good to know, but before wasn't this game a RTS style game? I might be wrong but this version seems to build towards an armored core gameplay style approach, which I love, although it probably won't be as fast paced, but perhaps an easier interface? regardless, i think the idea of working in mech or wanzer teams is fantastic... but mass produced? i always thought the idea of a mech was customising and individuality?

  • @timothy9393 FM Alternative was kinda RTS, we have turn based strategy jRPG games, even TPP MMO(Front Mission Online) most of them were released only in Japan.

Wanzers are mass produced, standard machines used by armies around the world. There is a lot of types of wanzers and of course all can be customized; legs, arms, torso, backpack, weapons (bazookas, machine-guns, sniper rifles, missile launchers, melee weapons, shields). Army to cut costs is using only some types, arming them differently.

  • @timothy9393 But of course as a player we could always customize our wanzers as much as we wanted, even colours, as long as we had money of course heh.

Well if we would want to compare this game to anything then maybe maybe old Heavy Gear, Mechwarrior or it's console version MechAssault but nvm that.

Btw, like in all Front Mission games, in this TPP shooter we will be able to destroy certain parts (I mentioned them before) of enemy wanzers during battles to lower their combat capabilities.
