This guitar is actually pretty good, definitely worth it. The tremelo works pretty well but if you tune it down like waaay low (Drop C) it won't stay in tune that much. Therefore, that requires you to use a heavier gauge of strings or just invest in a tremsetter which basically keeps the floating tremelo at a "neutral" position.
I got the line 6 spider III 150 watt combo amp and love it. The only thing id rather have is a marshall full stack tube amp. Haha, that'll be the day :P
:)
I plan on picking up this guitar, is it worth it?? Im asking for it for xmas since ill be 18 soon and have to get this stuff myself.
Oh man I LOVE this guitar. It's really really good in all aspects. The pickups could be a lot better but they're pretty darn good for stock Duncan Designed.
Yes the KVX10 is an awesome guitar, I fell in love with it. :)
Word of advice...if you play metal don't go for the Spider III. There's better stuff out there, this sounds way too digitally processed. A tube amp by Peavey or something would benefit more. After playing for close to 1 year and 7 months tubes sound much more better than these Spiders...
At the moment I have a Laney, sounds good for it's price (LX12, 10 or 15W, can't remember :P), but it's just not enough for anymore :D Thanks for the tips, I'll look around for a decent tube
gawd at this point in my guitar life I was still playing californication :P

Where'd you get the tabs for this song? Trying to learn it, but the tabs I found don't seem to match what you're doing...
PS: Congrats, you sold me, I am DEFINITELY buying a KVX10

I used some 5 star rated Guitar Pro tab on Ultimate Guitar. It's in Drop D if that helps.
Hehe I'm glad! I love the KVX10!!

I have the same guitar, and I wanna buy a Spider III too, but 75W is a bit expensive for me, gonna get a 30W one

I'd like one around the price of the spider III, but yeah I play metal, so what exactly would you recommend?
BurianAttila 3 years ago
Get a tube, it will benefit you more for Metal. Peavey, Laney, Crate...good brands right there.

I'm curious what are the settings on your amp cause i got the same one?
dippindanny 3 years ago
I'm using the Crazy Train setting on it's Insane setting. I tweaked Drive, Bass, Treble and Mid of course to get close to that LoG sound.
