  • I respect reservists, but man, they ain't no soldiers.

  • @OopsYouFailed yes they are i know a guy that did a tour in afgan 6 months ago

  • I am in highschool and i am wondering like how this whole reserve thing works cause i havent really even mentioned to my parents that i would want to do that yet because i know there are going to be real skeptical about this. I was just wondering if someone could message me about how it starts off and whats expected upon enlisting in the reserves.

  • @HughsMeatShop Hey, if you ever decide to join the reserves, you will have to go through the recruiting process which involves an aptitude test, an interview and a medical test. And then a fitness test (which is really easy) and then you will get sworn in. After that your unit will put you on the earliest BMQ possible. It will be the best decision you have ever made. I just completed my BMQ on the 30th of January, yeah it can be tough but its been done by thousands before, dont be worried.

  • @kinimod444 what's the interview like?

I'm in college but planning to join part-time.

  • @phoLegit For me it was about 10 minutes long, and it was a Captain asking me if I was racist, then he made me sign a no racism policy paper. Then he asked me if Ive ever done any drugs and made me sign a similar paper and then you sign an unlimited liability paper, which basicly means that if Canada ever goes to war ( ie: wwIII) you can be be given an order which can result into the loss of your life. And then he went over my aptitude test score and that was it.

  • @kinimod444 Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it.

I'm still contemplating right now. The process of applying seems so grueling and there's

a chance they won't enroll you. I'm pretty much a full-time college student and that's tough already.

  • @phoLegit In my company id say about 70% are full time university students, so dont worry about that its possible. If you make it through all the recruiting process, you WILL get sworn in as the reserves are pretty much always hiring. Yes the recruiting process is slow and long but its well worth it.

  • @HughsMeatShop By the way Im in highschool aswell, Im 17. If your parents get skeptical, explain to them that reservists are volunteers. If you want to go overseas there will be possibilities aswell.

  • hey is reserves basic training the exact same as regular forces basic training, and also is navy basic training the same as army basic training???

  • @60s70s80s90smusic Nooo, reg force basic is alot more intense and harder than the reserve basic atleast that is what i am told but for the Navy i have no idea.

  • @Primeau12

BMQ is the same and intermingled for Land Sea and Air at St. John. No difference if the BMQ that you'll be taught if you're regs.

  • 17

  • @R3dHawk56 hey how did you like SQ/Dp1? i have it this summer, graduation for my BMQ is march 11th. how is it?

  • @hockeykingfive

    total cock and beasting!!!

    its great fun. enjoy!

  • I'm 15 and as soon as I turn 16 my application is going in for reserves. High school is to over rated for me and I need to do something important!

  • @dopeskis well your gonna have to wait until your 17 to join up. As of January the age limit for reserves has been raised.

  • @alcoholicfuck WHAT!?!?!?!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • hi im 16 years old i was thinking of joining the reg forces when i turn 18 has a infantry soldier but reading these comments has me scard a little . is it a good fun trade, and what is the fastest way to get to master sgt. and you help me out plz

  • do you have to go fight if you join the reserves?

  • @44JOSH055 Deployment is optional in the reserves.

  • I plan on joining the infantry in the Canadian army, looking forward to it, thanks for the video and good luck man

  • let meknow where these pics are taken

  • are some of the pics from the bedford N.S. range...... I just finished my rifle training there.....where are the rest of the pics from aldershot aor gagetown

  • I really want to join the reserves. I have a few questions though. Where do you do your basic training, and how long is it? I have school and stuff and I'm wondering if it'll affect any of my studies. Those are pretty much the concerns I have. I really wanna get out there =D

  • Comment removed

  • @BonhommeHero Dont worry. Im in the Inf. Reserves and highschool. I get straight As still.

My training is only on thursday nights, and one weekend a month.

Most of the guys are students or have a full time job. Dont worry.

  • i have a question..a stupid one though :(

was just wondering how long it takes a private rank reservists to get to chief warrant officer the last ncm rank ?

  • @rameezz007 Chief Warrant Officer reservist... hmmmmm

  • @Fatalize222 hmmmmmm yeh

  • Comment removed

  • @walkertexasranger33 10 Years to get from Private basic to Chief Warrant Officer?? Good luck with that!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @walkertexasranger33 That is not a "ball park" answer, with my 3 1/2 years in I can tell you for sure that is an impossibility.

I'd say 20-30 years if you are GREAT at your job.

  • Comment removed

  • @walkertexasranger33 "you can achieve cpl after 2 years in the reserves yet as some people in reg can be cpl for 5-10 years without promotion" That's taking 2 different places in rank and comparing them. Getting to cpl in the reserves and getting to Mcpl in the reg.

And that is saying that you get on your BMQ/SQ/QL3's to get your cpl after 2 years. I know people that have had to wait 3 years to get on their QL3's in reserves.

  • @walkertexasranger33 If it's universal to get to sgt in 10 years, why give a reference to a guy that you can get to CWO in 10?

  • Does joining the reserve help you in future when you apply for police?

  • @arushbhai if you want to apply for rcmp join as an mp and then ya it helps

  • @arushbhai Yes sir it does the police love dudes and girls who have any military background. Im in police foundations now and I just joined the reserves also about to become an auxiliary constable. If you wanna become a police officer I suggest you join if your into great experiences....

  • im going to be joining the forces soon and i love this song, cant imagine another song to make me feel the way i feel about joining the forces

  • I can't wait. Once 10th grade is out, it's time for infantry hopefully. :D

  • Just applied for the infantry reserves a few weeks ago and dont think i chose infantry to be cool. Ive being thinking long and hard about which trade and the military in general for a few years.I have already done my aptitude medical and interview, so just the pyhsical fitness test and than hopefully bmq next summer

  • @inthemiddle99 i have yet to submit my application. torn between infantry and engineers. i'm hoping to get in by this upcoming summer though too

  • @walkertexasranger33 nice man, just got mine scheduled for nov 30th, so the next step after that is swearing in

  • is this reg force or reserve?

  • @FRANKANATOR2000 It's in the title of the video

  • @hockeykingfive thanks,how did i miss that...

  • 33 seconds! StLaurent Block!! I live there!

  • How does training work for the Reserves? Is it the same as BMQ for regular force or is it part time?

  • doing reserves till fulltime opens up

  • @nikonxxx Have fun with that It alot harder toget in to reg from res as they tell u

  • @thisishiphop101 ever been there? its not bad if you have good marks and your condition is top notch. and especially if you speak farsi.

  • @nikonxxx yeah I have actually ?? Why would I say something if im not related to the subject... how long did it take you to switch let me guess u still waiting for paper work

  • @thisishiphop101 guess all you want. but im getting my uniform tonight. i have mixed feelings at this point about my decision but it will get more intresting as things get more difficult

  • Comment removed

  • @walkertexasranger33 there are lot of openings. but find a unit near your home, then go to them and get a certificate of understanding then go to reacruiting and do the paper work. ARMY IS PAPERWORK AND WAITING. none the less, it still is great. so far i ve learned alot and its been my first month.

  • Comment removed

  • @walkertexasranger33 It takes longer to join infantry because everyone only knows infantry... I would suggest going engineers because they'res a lot of new units opening... Took me a couple hours after my interview to get called and get sworn in.. I just finished my 2nd weekend of BMQ

  • Comment removed

  • @walkertexasranger33 I meant that when someone says army, 90% of people would only think of infantry and don't know much more about it... If they'res any other combat arms other then infantry, I would pounce on it because infantry is only cool for a couple of years and your peak doesn't last long. In infantry you get treated like shit and combat engineers are highly regarded and usually regarded as superior. Infantry DP1 will fuck you in the ass, try to not take it!

  • @walkertexasranger33 There's the 33 Combat Engineer Regiment, which is for reserves in Ottawa. I live in NB so I'm not sure what the situation is over there, if they have spots open or not...

  • Comment removed

  • @walkertexasranger33 Oh trust me, Engineering is a demanding trade, when i meant they treat like gold, is that if you were to go on missing, you're the most important part of the squad. You do the same thing as infantry x1000 more things. Infantry is a trade people regret after a while.

  • Comment removed

  • @walkertexasranger33 The military is harder to get into then people think, especially with a degree trade. Joining the reserves would put you at better chance of getting in and if all else fails, you can apply for RMC or just transfer your papers.

  • Comment removed

  • @walkertexasranger33 I was told that every reserve unit has a spot reserved for one person at RMC

  • @SoggyPatato Where did you hear that? I know that's not true.

  • @SpidermansSymbiote Herd about what?

  • @SoggyPatato What are you talking about?

  • @SpidermansSymbiote i was asking what you heard that was incorrect ?

  • @walkertexasranger33 good job man

  • Comment removed

  • @walkertexasranger33 haha if they make a joke about you changing often just tell them that it's a big decision to make and you wanna make sure your in the right trade that suits you. I'm in the reserves right now till I finish my grade 12, just to get a jump step on my career. If you're eligible for reg and not sure if you wanna be in the army for sure, go reserves because you can quit at anytime, theres no contract and you get paid per day..

  • Comment removed

  • @walkertexasranger33 The MPAC is the assessment center to see if you possess the right characteristics to even become and MP. You go to the academy in Borden after your BMQ and if you pass that and a 1 year probation period *then* you become an MP.

  • this is really sick video and song

  • how does the training work do u go on weekends or is it straight through

  • who made this video? are you from plf?

  • j'adore cet vidéo, il est vraiment bien a regarder et donne envie de faire partie de l'armée la plus belle.

  • 2:37 nice pic bro

  • cant wait to join the ranks of you ppl where can i sing up in kingston i went to princess of whales own regiment armoury and they flipped for me being there?

  • lol, you got it a little backwards, Im with 3PPCLI and it took my close to 9 months to get where I am now. You will do eye exams, hearing tests, and crap like that... your training will consist of your BMQ (Basic Military Qualifications) your SQ ( soldier qualifications....firing C7,C9,C6,84mm,Grenades,Claymore, and than your DP1 depending if your reg force, which is about 3 months....its staying awake for 6 days with no sleep, ambushes, trenches,....its fun shit,

  • I just finished my university degree and I am doing my Masters and I am going to join the medical unit of the reserves, my question is, lets say after one year part time serves i figure out this is not for me can i leave the reserves without any questions?

  • @burnit01 yea man the reserves are part time

  • That's not bad pay for grade 11... Signing up when I'm there.

  • Dont bother filling out the form if your more concerned about money then serving your country bzboi

  • @R3dHawk56 no shit

  • @R3dHawk56 Hey, can you help me out? I'm wondering if i need to pass an eye exam or anything in order to enroll. I see that everyone in the firing range has sunglasses on and i know that i can't see a target at 50 meters without my glasses on...

    Thanks!

  • @asianwong they need ur pascription then they will get ur balistic eye where

  • @R3dHawk56 more like serving your government

  • @R3dHawk56 for the test to get in is it still the step test or did they change it to beep test

  • @Freepepsi42 its the step test

  • @R3dHawk56 serve a country that makes u pay income tax on the money u make even when your not old enough to vote, if i protect anyone its loved ones and other honest hard working civilians, screw the government and the queen and all their bullshit, i joined and want that paycheck to help me while im goin to school them maybe i can be a doctor or something that will make a positive impact, serving your country usually means dieing for your governments economic interests

  • Comment removed

  • @R3dHawk56 oh man. Bmq/sq/biq all were the best time of my life. Fuck the money, this kind of experience is once in a lifetime. You cant get this anywhere else. Meaford (ontario) was where I was at for my courses. Also, awesome photo compilation! Where was this taken at?

  • @kanadol Were you in the reserves or regular forces? Im wanting to join the reserves but i want the same real training as the forces.

  • @GuitarMasta4334 I was in the reserves. R031- infantry. You will get excellent training, regardless of your choice to join Reg Force (full time) or Reserves (Part time). If I was to do it again, and it seems very likely that I will re-enlist now that I have finished university, I will opt for Reg Force.

  • @R3dHawk56 How old are you when you joined???

  • 88 a day or a week? a week? thats not worth it

  • @bzboi what U mean Not worth it ? u get to do all the cool shit other ppl wana do with no commitment since the reserve are your free to go at any time if any thing you should be paying them for the experience

  • 88.44$

  • If you're joining as a reserve in grade 11, do you get payed? Like how much a week

  • @PaintballForEver1000

you get 88$ for a full day, aka anything over 6 hours of work, or half day, anything under 6 hours, when you go away on course you get over night pay, something like 15$ a night, when i did SQ and DP1 from july - augest i made around 5 grand

  • You get payed 88 dollars as a private untrained but i think there was a raise or something so dont quote me on that

  • @R3dHawk56 is that per week? I'm really interested in joining, don't really care about the money though.

  • @R3dHawk56 Untrained Privates get payed $85.17.

  • @R3dHawk56 88$ a day ??

  • i hate workin the butts, and those god damn stickers never stay on lol

  • yo red hawk did u get paid and will this help me get into the CF faster

  • Cool man. I am going to join up as soon as I can!

  • One of the best things you can accomplish in your life is enrolling and serving your country.

  • BasicMilitary qualifications, Soldier qualifications and Dismounted Patrols

(qualfication needed to become and infantry soldier)

  • @R3dHawk56 actually dp1 stands for developmental phase 1. Every trade has a dp1. infantry calls there dp1 BIQ usually though (basic infantry qualifaction)

  • @Mathius99 per day, im joining the naval reserve in a few weeks when i turn 16

  • what dose all this BMQ SQ and DP1 mean?

  • BMQ = Basic Military Qualification, SQ = Soldier Qualification, and DP1 I don't know since I'm not enlisted yet.

  • Basic military qualification

    Soldier Qualifcation

DP1 is your trades course of what you specialise in

  • great song sick of metal on videos rap is where its at for modern day Army especially pac.

  • not very anxious for my SQ & DP1 but i gotta do it lol

  • you guys got to heat up your IMPs...lucky bastards

  • @kawasakipolaris

Yeah no kidding, and the only imp thats good cold is salmon but that sucks after you've had it 30 times...

  • in my opinion, dont get too stoked on BMQ it pretty boring. SQ and DP1 is when you start really playing army man

  • are you in the WNSR?

  • After all your courses you work for ur unit and train with them.

  • so what are you doing now?

  • sweeeeet im joining i cant wait to train with the L.A.W.

  • @ComandnConquerFreak well keep waiting cuz u never train with that lol

  • No Fear, 2pac shakur its a remix

  • sweet vid. I start the reserve in Feb. 1st Hussars armoured. London ON. whats the name of that song??

  • Hi i have a few questions i live in the city of ottawa and want to be in the reserves what are the physical requirements example amount of push ups ,sit ups stuff like that and what other tests do you need to complete

  • the highest you need done is 19 atlest and a stair beeb test and a grip test, iam a reserve soldier in BC believe me it's easy and freaking hella fun!
