  • that pole almost hit the truck if that rope was a lil bit shorter it would have

  • thats a gmc for ya

  • Cool, but nothin' a Ford or Dodge couldn't do. A Tundra Would definitely FAIL!

  • i used the hooks on a rental gmc to pull out a bobcat and they broke right on off and the chain flue across the hood with no rental ins cost me 500 big ones i use the back on my d max

  • U look like a fag. Nics truck tho. Dont get ur fag all over it and ruin it.

  • Lmfao that was awesome.

  • if he would have pulled from top yes it would bend but still come out

  • good way to mess ur truck up. always pull from ur reciver hitch... it can tow trailers that weight more than your truck which is why its better to pull from it rather than the front which could mess alota shit up

  • actually thos hooks are desiends for pulling things obviously if they couldnt handle a load or they wouldnt put them there.

they are attaced to the frame...unless your trying to pull a building down it wont mess anything up...

  • @1998wranglerTJ I usually agree, but there's more power in reverse. Since it was just a pole, I don't think it mattered.

  • yeaa nice! Duramax all the way!!

  • like poppin a blackhead

  • Fuckin' LARRY

  • pole almost smashed ur truck man!

  • i have a duramax 6speed.

  • pull from the top the top i say!

  • if he would have pulled from the top, he would have just bent the pole.

  • your lucky that didnt come back and smash your hood lol

  • A pole? Dude come on you could of done better then that. And Chevy and gmc are built the same way from the motor to the chasi. To the weight it can tow/pull. Gmc is just more luxurious from the inside and out

  • good way to tear up the chasis puttin the rope on both hooks

  • surprised the hooks dont break

  • TRU DAT ! broke both hooks on the crew truck at work .... not impressed

  • good point

  • Good point

  • Seriously? A pole? I could do that on my peddle bike. Not do put down the GMC i love GM i have a 2002 duramax and love it and hate everything that isn't gm but a pole? really?

  • yea! yea A pole. It need to come out so why not with my truck?

  • nice truck!! good thing that strap wasnt eny shorter, or youd be ordering a new hood haha

  • is that a stick or auto

  • auto

  • does that have the 6.6 or 6.0

  • 6.6 is the duramax and the powerjoke is the 6.0

  • fyi... duramax does not offer a manual transmission

  • You can get one with one.

  • I would hate to have you work on anything diesel cuz you don't know your ass from a hole in the ground. you better start reading and watching diesels more cuz the GM Duramax is on top of the diesel world of 2500,3500,4500.

  • yo man u got one nice truck is that the 3500 or tha 2500 size.We got a GMC 3500hd and we installed an intake to replace the stock and gave it either a 50 to 30 increse in horse power and a lot more in torque.I got a question for what do u think about the cummins and powerstoke diesel? The reason for this is some people are puting comments like GMC is Genericlly Made Crap or something like that and then these one for Chevy which is Cock Hasen't Entered Vagina Yet so yea.

  • yes you can get the duramax in a 6 spd manual tranny

  • are you stupid you must not have any idea about gm and what they put on the trucks

  • the tranny is ZF-6! So your Stupid.

  • Ya but the sincros go out every 40 thousand that is why you cant get them in a manual anymore they only did that for one year

  • no actually form 01 to 04 or 05 they offered a manual.... more that year it seems

  • is that better than the allison?

  • I just like GMC truck better. Ive own three GMC truck and all of them worked Great. You hear more people saying Chevy break more then GMC Same heart and soul different skin. IMO.

  • I talked to a someone at GMC and they said that when they test the Duramax, the better quality/performance ones go in the GMC because your also paying more for the truck. but i dont know if it is true or now. Either way GM duramax is the way to go!

  • yea gmc has been more luxury based, but still a work truck as chevy is more work based even though they both will do the same thing. the gms is more luxurious

  • yea but they can also be more powerful too

  • gmc's have heavier chasis to, as well as more accesories/luxury

  • verry nice diesel is the way to go

  • one way to do it..

  • wellfor the most part your right. bed study up. some gmcs have more torque than a chevy

  • they use the same engines. they are identical.

  • i am pretty sure everyone knows that maybe it was you who just realized it

  • nice

  • lol put the tranny brake on spool up ur turbo and let it fly

  • I almost landed a large shrub and root ball on my hood by doing that once. It shot straight up in the air and I went oh $%*#! I just got the truck out of its way and missed the truck by a foot. Wont do that again - especially with my Duramax!

  • I drive a Duramax myself, but all you did was pull it out with the weight of the truck. You put slack in the lines, went in reverse to about 8mpg and the weight of the truck pulled it out... not the motor lol. You COULD do that with a regular truck. If you want to show power of the dura then tighten the straps in reverse then use the engine to pull it out.

  • I watched this video and about cryed cause i thought the pole was gonna hit your truck..i wouldve jumped off a cliff...

    NICE TRUCK:)

  • i thought the same thing LoL that woulda sucked!!! nice tho looking truck tho.

  • Is that a durbo diesel?

  • ALL new diesels are turbo. You can kinda hear it in this one from 0:25 to 0:30.

  • Oh yeah 6.6L V8 365 Hp. 660lb. ft of Torque! Thats power. No that Diesel POWER!!!

  • Put your truck where you month is son and show me! If you can't tell I was on a driveway so the tires didn't hook up good. and show me a Super-pile of shit do it like I did.

  • Haha yea I understand. We used to truck pull with a 67 chevy runnin a 454 bored out to a 468 runnin on alcohol, and about every mod you can do...but were working on gettin the engine in a drag car now, and I would show you my truck but unfortunately I rolled it a couple months ago and only had liability so I gotta make some money to replace it. And I agree a power-joke would probly fuckin shudder, and blow pieces everywhere..are you runnin a chip or anything in yours?

  • No chip or anything. Just a K&N filter for the stock air box and the Flowmaster 4" with bigger tires.

  • I'm a HUGE chevy fan, and love the duramax engines, and definately put them over the cummins, and the powerstroke....but, this really proves nothing. I could hook onto a b-ball goal with a minivan and uproot it by taking a run at it like this.

  • Good to hear your a huge chevy fan. I bought a GMC cuz they are built better. I would love to see a minivan do what my truck did with the pole. So if you really want to get grounded..... use your my mommy's minivan and do work, Son! youtube that shit.

  • Ok sorry, Im a huge GM fan how bout that. I prefer GMC over Chevy because their front end looks better. Damn, I'm not dissin on your truck, I'llagree its fucking BA, but if I had a basketball pole in need of pulling out I would hook up our van take a run at it and show you the same result. If you wanna show off your diesel power, bring it out here to the country and well hook up to the sled at a truck pull.

  • I would like to hook up to a sled but I'm not willing to run the risk of fucking up my truck seeing I pay for it and can't pay to fix it if something goes wrong. I know the truck can do it, but I don't want to break it.

  • Built better? LOL They're made from the same parts! Unless you mean they use better foam tape to stick GMC on the side, compared to the foam tape they use to stick a bowtie on the side, you're off base. Nice truck man, love the Dmax's

...But dont tell my 6.0 LQ4 I said that :-P

  • i love all things gm and having worked making camshafts for them going on 23 years but why do you believe that gmc are built better than chevy i happen to own a sierra 1500 i bought it in 1982 because as a fool in my youth i belived that gmc showed you worked hard/were tougher than if you drove a chevy i since to not belive this. i was just wondering your logic behind your statement if you would reply i would really apreciate it thanks

  • how are gmc's built any better than Chevy? you can buy the same exact model with all the same parts with different lights, grille and badge. don't get me wrong, its GMC till the day I die, but why do you think they are tougher than their twin?

  • duramax rules my 03 2500hd has a banks monster exhaust a twin turbo and it makes 426hp and gets up to 32mpgs on the highway

  • what engine do you have LLY or LB7 and what tranny 5Speed with overdrive or 6SPD. my dads truck is an 04 with the LLY bust fuel MPG Highway is 18.and he's got duel exhaust edge chip and K&N intake. still only gets 18mpg.whats the secret?

  • the secret is that it doesn't really get that mileage, except for when it is being towed.

  • when its being towed? No. that truck would be towing your ford or dodge or foriegn car you drive. But in this vid thats also good way to snap front axle. :) BUT BADASS TRUCK!!

  • can't wait for my own diesel so i can pull down light poles and scrap the aluminum. but basketball poles are cool too. props.

  • Thanks fuck stick for the info! Glad a dipshit like your-self knows a thing like that.

  • Haha, man those are sick trucks.

  • it you hook the rope higher it'll get way more leverage

  • CHEVY all the way ;o)

  • Yeah Chevy cool and all but GMC is the KING! some heart and soul but better body!!!

  • gosh i love duramax's.

  • a ford wudda had that outta there first pull..but at least u kept with it like a man

  • i do not understand y he didnt just hook it to the back and pull it in foward gear instead of reverse....they are not made to do that you know...none of them

  • more torque in reverse

  • the hooks in the front are bolted to the frame

  • damn that would have scared the shit out of me, that pole flying at my truck that fast, glad it missed

  • that's very impressive because you got the straps at the bottom. It's harder to pull out that way! Great truck! I own a silverado myself and would never buy another brand! CHEVY ALL THE WAY!

  • Do you own a cummins? or can you afford one, dickhead. if you can or do then you can step up to you level and talk shit fag!

  • I'm glad for you. Before you open your mouth about my dad get the facts straight. He got killed in 2004 in a car accident. I was 18 and still in high school you dick! plus I didn't get anything after he died. I work two fucking jobs to live and make my truck payment. But im glad you wacthed my video. You hater.

  • why is pulling in reverse a bad idea? the allison uses clutches C3&C5 in reverse (two of the stronger ones, and its not that bad on the rear end. its the same as running an amboid gear set.

in drive, a hypoid gear uses the convex side as drive, and an amboid uses the concave side, so running a hypoid in reverse would be the same.

  • Well I don't think it was so thats why I did. How did you find the info about the Trans and clutches?

  • school. i go to wyotech

  • Cool man. About three years ago I was thinking about going to UTI but chose to be a carpenter. Do you know if you can buy your diesel book outside of your school? I want to learn more about diesels.

  • we dont really have a 'diesel book'. its a bunch of seperate books on different subjects.

    but no, probably not...

  • My brother in law works on diesels...he knows all bout em

  • I really wonder if people know pulling in reverse is VERY good way to blow rear ends. Your supposed to pull from rear of truck. But anyway nice truck.

  • One would think tho if your pulling a 500 lbs pole out of the ground over a trailer that is 12,000 lbs the rear end would hold up a little better. Plus I could watch it so that made it funny. and thanks

  • Im not saying pullin the pole was hard on truck, but when people pull truck/car/bus/semi out in reverse and smoke tires or wheel hop it...thats hard on them. I watched a F350 try to pull a Cat dozer in reverse and blew the rear differential to bits! There were ring gears pieces ga-lore!

Right now all i got is a n/a 6.2L 1 ton Chevy truck....hoping to pick up a duramax to drop in it.....or could drop a 12 valve cummins. Who knows lol.......

  • should have tied the strap about a foot off the ground. Leverage and power. You could have done it at an idle. I rip ples out of the ground with my dmax that way. 6.6LBZ/Allison

  • Looks like mine... pull forward in 4lo next time if u got 4x4

  • thanks, I have 4x4 I try to use the force and wight of the truck first and I forgot to use 4low, 4high. Next time 4low it goes.

  • Lower gearing in reverse- those tow hooks are plenty strong. Nice work! I yanked a rose bush outta the front bed with my Duramax. Took more force than I though it would, deep roots. And why is that not the best idea??? It would take hours to dig something like that out...

  • nice almost smashed your hood there but i still think a cummins would of done the job faster

  • It does look like it but I used 16feet straps and had room. A cummins NO! Duramax all the way. Both motors have big balls!

  • a duramax has more torque then a cummins why would it do it faster?

  • Yes the D-max does. Faster would depend on the drive.

  • sorry but your wrong duramax is better

  • Indeed a fun way to remove a pole... Was that a 5-speed?

  • Yes its a 5-speed auto. Aillson Trany

  • nice...probably not the best idea in the world

  • perdy cool, but why in reverse? Doesn't that put excess strain on the front end?

  • I didn't think it strained the front end cuz its a 2500HD GMC! hahaha Professional Grade!

  • yea my dad owns a 2004.5 and even with stock tune in 4x4 low its possible to break the front cb shafts....just be a little bit careful it has so much balls it can rip itself apart ;)
