The milk and the meat are the literal and the spiritual. The milk is what the natural man can easily understand, the literal interpretation of scripture. The meat is the spiritual interpretation of scripture. This takes a spiritual mind to discern the things of the spirit. Paul said, I can't give you the meat, because you (the Corinthians) are carnal, like babies. 1 Cor. 3 Meat was something Paul wanted to give them but couldn't.
