can you also please give me advice, my fingers are not big enough I'm 14 and its hard to do the thing at 5:39 what should i do about it ? what do you think
when you get out of your bedroom and join your first band remember that, for the keyboard player, drummer, and singer, the MOST IMPORTANT THING is what fret # your finger is on at all times
@SuperNoobTroll ok, but for what reason would a keyboard player, drummer, or singer ever watch this video. You can easily see from the video picture that this is a GUITAR lesson. Stop trying to be a smartass, because you suck at it.
@OhhLaLaz It means that, say you have one finger on the 9th fret of a string, and another finger on the 7th fret of the same string. When you strum that string, all you here is the 9th fret. what a release (or pull-off) is, is when you strum the string so that you can here the 9th fret, but while that string is vibrating, you take the finger that is on the 9th fret off the guitar so now all that is on that string is the finger on the 7th fret, so you just released from the 9th fret to the 7 fret
@dahms36 It is a schecter C-1 Hellraiser. I really enjoy shecters and I think that you should checki into them. I also use another shecter that can be seen in my other videos. Check them out to hear the other shecter I have.
lol iv watched this vid about 10 times, learning part after part of the solo and when i need to find it on you tube, i just look for the rock band poster on the wall behind you lol
@HetfieldJames90 The is not alot of tricky alt picking, but that is part of it. I believe that this is an excellent solo to try because it allows you to work on techniques, such as alt picking
@TheRealPyroBlue thnx!! im practising a lot.. the only thing that i cant do is playing very fast... ;p lol .. beginning of June i will play enter sandman at school ... my guitar teacher will help me too ... i have 3 months until the performance.. i will learn it right?? ( im learning fast and im practising a looooot) ;p thnx again
@pellorockas There is no single answer. It all depends n how much time you are willing to put into it. Maybe an hour to actually memorize the fretting and then maybe the rest of the day to master the techniques. But once again, it all depends on you, I say just go ahead and give it a shot.
just one simple question. where did you learn that solo? from the book? because i just wanna make suer that its ok. even if not so its still sounds just like it
i looked on UG and saw the tabs for the solo, nd i was like ''fuck that'', but after watching you play (and teach) im further with it than i ever expected. . . so. . . THANKS :)
@pulpitocompanys7 Its not exactly easy, but it is an excellent solo to learn for beginners because it teaches alot of excellent and classic techniques. It will be challenging, but I highly recommend it.
could you add tab annotations to this? I'm learning a few riffs and whatnot and i occassionaly like to have a go at some solos, thanks for posting this :)
I'm on da octave bit. Can sum1 plz help me? I can't switch from the beginning bit to the octave bit quik enough n I can't do short slides back and forwards cos my fingers, like, aren't slippery enough or sumthin. Plz respond ASAP.
You mean for the octave part? You use your index finger. Hold down the note on the A string with the tip end of your index finger, and rest the remainder of that same finger on the D string, but dont press anything on the string.. This mutes the D string. Then just use any other finger to press down the G string. Watch very closely from 2:43 to 3:14 if you still have any questions please feel free to ask.
Thank you so freakin much. I have seen other tutorials on how to play this, and they were all epic fails. The tabs I got from ultimate guitar dot com werent 100%. I mainly needed to learn the beginning with the bends before the octave. Thank you for posting this. You are the man.
@metallica5347 Yes my guitar had distortion on with treble all the way up anf the middle and bass were at about half way. I had a Roland 20x cube and I had on the metal distortion.
@iRahul7 I just starting to get over some stuff right now so I will definetly start thinking of new ideas for vids. But as of right now my guitar is actin weird so i need to get it checked. I'll but up a bulliten as soon as I know what I'm doin next, if you have any suggestions, feel free :)
@iRahul7 i think the tab from ultimate guitar is wrong. i probably learned the same tab you did. the guy who tabbed it said he copied from the book, but those books can have very inacurate tabs as well. I had the most trouble with the beginning. i finally got it thanks to this vid.
@rammsteinvideos101 The e minor pentatonic is a scale... and it goes.... 6th string = 12---15... 5th string 12----14.... 4th string 12---14.... 3rd string 12---14.... 2nd string 12---15... and 1st string 12---15... Then you do it backwards to complete the scale....
There are other ways to play the E minor pentatonic scale... But this is easiest / Most common way.
great video followed everything 100% thanks man!!!! you should consider being a teacher
