Made of mostly Hydrogen gas... what if someone were to strike a match on Jupiter? Perhaps the explosion would be able to clear all of that thick gas layer and reveal some things about Jupiter not known before (and decrease its overall circumference substantially)
@WTFisadeeto It's impossible for life to survive there as the deeper you go down the heavier the gravity get's Basicly if a human was shot into Jupiter, He would be crushed to the size of a pea.
Jupiter has giant air-jellyfish like creatures that float around in the higher atmospheres of the planet and eat floating vegetation and smaller fast traveling air surfing creatures!
Youtube should convert usernames to real names so that people will start to behave like they do when they interact in person with other people; polite and with respect. Even in these forums where the discussions are about science, you still see people bashing and abusing each other behind the shield of a username.
@Gravolux HAHAHA i thought the same thing!! It looks like milk when u put it in coffee :D GASP!! That must be the secret to Jupiter's magnetic charm... lots and lots of caffeine XD j/k of course!
@Boogyman4050 The Radiation can destroy some systems of the spacecraft, the radiation of Jupiter is very, very huge! A human can't survive in the Jupiter's orbit, and the JUNO spacecraft uses the "box" above the bus and below the HGA to avoid the radiation effects. The magnetic field isn't very dangerous, but still is dangerous...
@FelipiNASA2...Would Jupiter's magnetic field take out a spacecrafts computers and most electrical power due to a EM type pulse? I'm assuming within a certain distance the answer is Yes? Would need backup power source to counter this? Plus, the radiation you mentioned is a problem for humans.
@Triple88a Radiation is not powerful in apoapsis of the orbit, only in areas where the probe will stay for a few hours on each pass. The radiation belt of Jupiter isn't powerful at distances where Galileo spacecraft did flybys, outside the orbit of Io, but inside, it's very, very powerful! When I say "Flyby" I wanna say the area of the orbit where the spacecraft was on the periapsis of the Jupiter's orbit! Do you understand?
I CANT BELIEVE NASA'S SCIENTISTS BE SO IGNORANTS, BECAUSE JUPITER IS MADE OF TERRESTRIAL MATTER TOO, AND THAT LIQUID EVEN THIS LAST TIMES HAVE BEEN ORIGINATED BY ANOTHER POWERFUL NEGATIVE INFLUENCE -ALSO PLANETARY-, WHOSE IS CAUSER OF ALSO ICE MATTER AT OTHER PLANETS FROM SYSTEM, AND THAT FACE KNOW SHOWN, IT 'LL CHANGE TO VERY DIFERENT DARK GREY,AND ITS INTERIOR IS HOLE, & THERE IS ONLY NEGATIVE ESSENCE, & AND I CAN EXPLAIN ALL YOU WANT ABOUT.
@godistv SOY MUY DIFERENTE A LA INMENSA MAYORÍA HUMANA, Y DOMINANTE VEGANO, JAMÁS HE TOMADO DROGAS, PEROI EN UN MUNDO DE LOCOS, LOS CUERDOS SON LOS ASÍ CONSIDERADOS.
@bitch29492 too far yea right. look at the hubble telescope it sees galaxies so far away same thing with the probe except it would be solely designed for black holes and it would be far enough away the transmissions wouldnt get swallowed by it. anyways sending a probe closer to it is better than having no probe for black holes up there at all.
what nasa should so is get a probe like that , specialize it for research on black holes. locate the nearest one and send it off. not that researching planets isn't good but that would give us so much more intricate insight into the physics of this universe.
It is Brown Sugar and Honey, my Son. Jupiter, like the Moon is made of cheese, but Jupiter also contains Hot Fudge, Milk, Brown Sugar and lots of Honey. Oh, and a nice big red strawberry that goes round and round because some Giant stirred the drink way too hard!
Only 2 things are infinity, the universe and human stupidity (Einstein)... And because each "Era" there is a higher degree of stupidity you can't get a formula.. You are a living confirmation of that! You point? You speak English betther then me, normal you CAN ONLY speak english! To prove you point you insult people just proves how much unsmart you are! So explain how jupiter will continue his rotation even after the sun is gone, and earth will stop. Aprende outra língua o burro.
@sixtee9isfine1 What country is that? One thing im sure we really don't live in the same country... Inset of talking about something you have saw like youtube trolls without a brain you "quack like a duck"... "you guys have really lost the power to think like it has been proven by a recent study of people that use and abuse of social networks! Brain=0=QI ! It's because of people like you guys we not evolving like we should be, you should do the world a favor and, "be no more"..
=you haven't really invest or grown much since those early telescopi, collectively, have you-all ?
-are you not interested in surviving or even star trekking to the degree where you may go beyond the mandate of heaven to repay the universe for your kind's collective life debt by not only saving other words from extinction as overdue interest, but also to pay down the principle by bringing life to places it would not have time to develop otherwise?
Another super fluid lies inside Jupiter that fore sure... But how much would a 1 spoon of "liquid/solid" hydrogen weight? Would we be able to creater a powerfuel negative magnetic fiel equal to earth (planets negative magnetic fiel | Stars positive) and with that repulse our cars and veichles? Uhh That is the answer i want NASA to give :)
@jalbano88 PS - Hydrogen anions are formed when additional electrons are acquired... So when there's a strong magnetic field, we get H-, possible changing from H+ to H- in fraction of second and with it recreating his own magnetic fiel. On teory you could get the same resolt if able to store liquid hydrogen and run true it AC corrent.. The more higher the frequency (hz) the more rapid it would change from H+ to H-! - Logic no? - This is what should be ScienceAtNASA
@jalbano88 I can grasp some of what you say. Jupiter, like all bodies in the galaxy, gets its' electricity from the galactic core, ad infinitum. So, in M13, because of the intense frequency overlapping, would planets be able to form and achieve stable orbits? I understood that Arecibo sent transmissions to M13 at one point in time. Why ?

Amazing totally. How do you know that this space craft won't get hit with some major lightning type activity rendering it DOA, thus cutting the important data feed back to Earth short?
@oomblikkies, the Juno spacecaft will make a fast fly by Jupiter (just some hours) and will get outta from there. So the exposure time is low, but is still powerful!
@FelipiNASA2 Didn't the video say that Juno would spend a full year orbiting Jupiter, taking measurements at all latitudes? Didn't it? Wasn't I listening? Or was that narrator just too difficult to hear?
@Triple88a I'm not talking about the instruments, I'm talking about safety! You can't read: "So the EXPOSURE time is low, but is still powerful!". You're so pissed because of this mistake! LOL!! And I saw several informations in the JUNO interactive website. That's all!
There would be no explosion because for that you need a mixture of H2 and O2, and the oxygen is missing.

Christ, you'd think that with all the money they're able to spend on space, they could at least afford a narrator that knows how to speak.
