General reply to posts below: I liked this when it first came out. After The Wanderer, it seemed the queen of the concept album just started to release albums that sounded patched together. This album and Another Place and Time seemed to flow. I admit, some of these songs are barely listenable now (this song included). Songs that should have been hits from this album are It's Not the Way, I'm Free and Maybe It's Over... Check them out over here --->
this was far from one of her worst albums, it was probably her most understood and possibly underrated. This isnt diana ross, patti labelle, this is debbie harry, david bowie, donna summer stretching and evolving not recreating last dance, on the radio, no more tears, but creating a new kind of sound and music.
@hotrodindalou I completely agree with you. I myself did not appreciate this album till a few years later. It is filled with great tunes that reveal Donna's prowess as a singer and interpreter! And by the way, take a look at DonnaSummer onBroadway FB page if you are there.
@liveandmore Love it when I bought it on faith having never heard any tracks from it . Still love it. Like many Afro/Amer/Black female singers, Donna has always sold & been appreciated more in other countries, just like Mary Wilson of the Supremes. We need to show more appreciation for our American artists.

Dreadful. No timing. No magic. Contrived.
