Nobody's going to train a killer when they have way better smarter dogs to do the job!

They are after all the athletes of the dog word. You must be thinking about those old fat bullies that look like hippos or something. Do some research before you pull shit out your ass. They should be owned by people who have big properties that have the time/resources to give them what they needs. If you want a pet, buy a Pug. Leave the hardcore working breeds to serious dog people.

I have seen pitts behind a rotting wooden fence or behind a gate that's falling apart and even in small apartment patios. Totally inadequate.

@MrTachyon3000 AGREED. They belong in RESPONSIBLE homes.  The fact that these dogs have carved a reputation as "pets" is absolutely dangerous. I own Game Pit Bulls, and rarely do they leave my property. Granted, my property is massive and I possess the means needed to care for them properly, but forcing these dogs to be city pets is extremely dangerous. I urge people to leave these dogs to people that know what they're doing.

@MrTachyon3000 pit bulls are fighting dogs, they are gladiators. they don't have time for boring utility work like those other breeds, they are at the top of the food chain. The don't herd sheep, the catch cattle. They don't hunt through sent, they hunt with their jaws. Pit bulls don't pull sleds with help from other dogs, they pull thousands of pounds all by themselves. Pit bulls don't catch rabbits, they catch 250 pound wild boar. Pit bulls weigh in between 35-55 pounds.

my dog loves weight pulling. hes a 15 lb Cavalier king charles spaniel :) hes goes to comps 4 dogs 30 lbs and under though. he can pull about 18-20 lbs

They aren't tortured in this show. But before they might did during training. U can see the last clip one man making angry to dog. Due to aggression it pulled a weighted one..For their fun they are doing this. Its not looks like tortured but it is. Really sad and bad.

If you have EVER owned a pit, or been around them you would know that for their size they have way too much energy and because of that they are extremely playful. The dog wanted to play with the tire, the guy was teasing the dog with it to get him rilled up. Pits are extremely strong dogs, that's why he was able to pull the weight.

I understand your concern that he might have been baited and there are indeed videos on youtube where dogs are being baited with annoyances into pulling weights. However, watch this dog's body language - he was eager and his tail wagging before the tire was banged on the ground. Banging a spot on the ground with one's fist is extremely common in pulling to help focus the dog on pulling towards the next spot rather than pushing himself into the air - which wastes energy and can endanger the dog.
