I think this is an awesome video. Fresh and very relevant. This will be the first thing everyone will see when they visit our channel; I hope you don't mind. I'm looking forward to checking out the rest of your videos. Thanks.
its like hey we are tracking your tweets so if you say your drinking we are coming to hunt you down. and basically the state is going to take all your money and ruin your life..
I like how @ .26 seconds into it the phone shows 9:30pm for a text about being at the ware house but then a text comes in at 11:35am for the same day claiming it's been 2 hours, last i checked am came before pm in a 24 hour period lol. Someone missed that typo.
...But yes, it's always better to be safe than sorry and have a designated driver. However, if you do fuck up at least do some research and apply for the limited driver's license so you can still keep your job.
...Another thing about the getting fired from work scenario. YOU CAN DO YOUR COMMUNITY SERVICE ON YOUR FREAKIN' DAYS OFF PEOPLE! You can also apply for a special license that lets you DRIVE TO WORK if you get a DUI or a DWI so yes you really can earn an income people. Not that I know this from personal experience but I do know people who have been pulled over with a DWI and they still were able to work, do community service, and not get financially bankrupt.
Ok, I am against drinking and driving but I can see a lot of things wrong with this commercial. First off, this person never should have bothered with getting a lawyer to represent their case. Usually you can go ahead and plead guilty, pay the fine and spend some time in jail, depending on the case. No need to waste money on hiring an expensive "DWI Lawyer." Second, their SO is a complete jackass for breaking up with them because they don't want to use the time or money to see them anymore....
Just like click it or Ticket!! WTF? I thought this was a FREE country? But they tell you how to drive the car that you bought. What to do with the water that you paid for. Give them money for the house that you own. Take money out of your paycheck, which they have no right to do by the way, to make their living and feed their families and take their tropical vacation's. While your stuck working you ass off feeling endebted to these assholes?? Something's got to change! ! !
You forgot the part where you have to drive to get to work to make a living to feed your family, ah but you don't have a license so you do it anyway get pulled over throwed in jail. Car gets impounded license gets suspended longer... Well can't make it sacking grocery's better just get the car out lick my wounds and stick my nose back to the grinding wheel.
I think it's great the way you pigs show yet another one of your traps to rob, kill, steal and destroy. Rub it right in our face. Now I have never had a DWI but it's all the same. Once they got you you'll never get back on track. Glorified Thief 's.
The intoxication laws are there for a reason. It's to protect innocent people from dangerous people. However, If someone sips ONE drink for A WHOLE HOUR while she talks with her friends, then decides to drive home, that should be OK!
Because MADD has bribed law makers to lower the legal toxicity level, you can literally be "over the limit" with 3/4 of a drink. MADD wants you in jail if you have a single drink with your dinner at a restaurant.

Yes the system ROYALLY FUCKS YOU for a first time DUI!! Great video. The breaking up with the girlfriend and the friends not helping at all were somewhat exaggerated, but the -$5000 was spot on!
We think were sane... we must suffer the consequences of letting this deceitful dark blah blah way of living. you get the point..i hope. yes this means a lot of people would have to die most likely.. :/ but if you cant accept the world, everything in it, yourself, and the "god like" universe around us,(I threw that in there for you non doubtful believers ;) ) then you will create problems with others.i know this because we all do...it feels like if we dont ever try the worst of it is comin soon
NOOO SIR! Okay, life is a *itch sometimes and we slip and make a mistake but what we choose to do shouldn't be punishable by law regardless of what happens. these laws were made by groups of people dating back to I have no clue honestly lol. (THIS IS WHERE IT GETS GOOD) Whenever man had come to be, at some point they started interacting, every causes effect has been tied to that point. don't you think its time we recreate how EVERYTHING works for humanity. equal. tranq. and happ. no pursuit ;)

The cop also made him hold his breath on the breath test which may have been uncalibrated and disregarded to 2 point lenience in either direction. this made him blow .083, and considering that he had work in the morning, a girlfriend and other things going for him, I'd say that he probably an alright guy. The cop was has a well established history of Sadistic Personality Disorder and takes pleasure in other people's suffering.
worthless way to get money from people. what it didn't tell you is that the guy was one block away from his house after 2 beers. he was threatened with a tazer and made to do a number of tests that are designed to fail, in fact he did quite well considering that 90% of sober people fail the test. @breezym980 You can download apps for the dislike button. Facebook won't make it a standard feature because this can encourage cyberbullying if it was for everyone, especially by high schoolers.
Great job on the video! Although as someone who has been charged (keyword: charged, not convicted) for a DWI, I think that it's important to emphasize the fact that even if you are not driving at an illegal BAC, you can still be charged with a DWI and still have to hire an attorney. Police will charge anyone who "appears" to be driving drunk. Bottom line: don't ever drive if you've had anything to drink, because will be charged like I was and still pay a shit load of legal fees.
Your tagline says "A $17,000 DWI: Drinking and driving isn't worth it." While I agree, I note that the actual balance difference between pre-DWI and post DWI in the video is a loss of $21,366.26. **To be fair, at the end of the video our presumably sobered-up drunk driver is $17,422.60 in debt. Bankruptcy court, anyone?**
Maybe the problem is driving itself.... it's awfully expensive and there are an awful lot of bad intersections. And doing it drunk is a lot MORE expensive, obviously.
No they wouldn't. Just because your pals get drunk and hit the road doesn't mean everyone else would. If half of America drove drunk, the highways would be impassable from coast to coast due to accidents!
If a drunk driver gets in a wreck and kills someone, HE completely destroys someone's life... LITERALLY. Considering the impact that can have, major deterrence doesn't seem like such a bad idea.
But I hate how all of this is true. Ruining your life over blowing a .08 b/a level. I could probably do that after 2 drinks, and I would still be sober :-/
I think they need to raise the legal limit to at least .1
Just so you know, I have never seen a BAC in a DWI case under a .14. If you've had a couple but you're still sober enough to drive, it's unlikely you'll be driving crazy enough to get pulled over. In order to blow .08 with two drinks, you'd have to weigh less than 100 lbs by most charts I've seen.
@k8keens if you've ever experimented with a breathalyzer at home while drinking, at .12 my friends and i consistently always felt very, very, very little, usually NO effects of the alcohol. but everyone is different and if you feel ANYTHING you shouldn't drive. just because its the governments' legal definition of drunk (which works very well in bringing in money! watch the video) doesn't actually mean you are DRUNK. so if you've had anything at all, don't drive!!!
yeah, legally drunk. I actually have gotten a dwi and it totally sucks. A .12 is about 3-4 beers. i meant legally drunk aka "intoxicated" not actually drunk haha. trust me everybody, just never drink and drive no matter what. they can take you to jail even if you only blow a .01
If she wasn't operating a motor vehicle, he had no right to charge her with DWI. Public intoxication, at best. If she was operating (or intending to operate) a motor vehicle, she had NO BUSINESS doing so at .12
LOL. The message is excellent, the costs are real, and they finally got a Dislike button working on THEIR facebook. Hee! Nicely done. If it weren't for the DWI part, you'd be the envy of the social networking world...
