As you most likely recognizes: The intervies and off-vouce are in german,

while the subtitles are in english. Everything understood so far? Good.

So, when the commentator says in German "DDR", she meand "Deutsche Demokratische Republik". In the subtiles, it is -just like everything else- translated

to the acronym of the english termn "German Democratic Republic", "GDR".

If "DDR" means anything to english speaking people, than it is "Double Data Rate"

I can only assume you did not intend this comment for me...or you have a reading comprehension disability. *shakes head at the world's stupidity*
