@shadowinthescreen Relax. This show wasn't cancelled because of funding or anything. It was cancelled because MGM went out of business. It has since been hardly revived. They are restarting the company under new management. They are going slow and just making movies for now, (Like 007), but Brad Wright said he has no wish to let the Stargate Franchise go. You can read up on it. He has many movies in mind. We just need to wait it out.
too many stupid people watching reality TV thats why this amazing show was canceled!!! i hate reality TV it's pointless!! this show actually has a point =( what happened to the imagination these days.....
20 years from now, when the next generation sees this show, they will be impressed and wish to revive it, but alas, the actors and producers will be resting in the grave, or otherwise unable to produce it. But if things happen that brings it back within 5 years or so, any actor that dies can have a supposed "Stasis pod malfunction" efectivly killing the character.
I guess what seduced me the most in the series was the Ship itself, so inspiring and captivating. Btw I'll always regret to have never seen the Furlings in any of the Stargate Series.

I feel like the strongest part of the show was the first six episodes; there were some absolutely amazing episodes later on, like Time, Space, Divided, Human, Lost, Trial and Error, The Greater Good, Visitation, Twin Destinies, Blockade and Gauntlet, but as a whole the quality moved down a little bit. Even the worst episodes of the series, like Malice and Common Descent were still great, though.
@tjbayliss Damn I agree with you, this show wasn't only a TV series. It was ART! And what you say about TV networks, I totally agree. That those kind of situations where I really hate Capitalism and corporations who wants to make 200% benefits every year. Stargate is a show of a whole generation, my generation, I grew up with it, and I wont forget it, never forget it.

SGU finally brought back the wonder and 'unknown' element of first stepping through the gate that the original film captured so well. If only the other series had of been of this high quality after they made the original film. SGU, the only Stargate worth watching imo.
@tjbayliss the walking dead dude is a good piece of entertainment, what bothers me is that they cancel good shows in favor of crappy shows like "how i met your mother" or any other bullshit ever conceived for the TV
@tjbayliss Nah, Walking Dead is cool. But SGU was without a doubt the best sci-fi series I've ever seen, and they cancelled it waaay before it was over, just like with SGA. Really pissed me off when I found out.
@tjbayliss I can stand "Walking Dead" on TV, but "Terra Nova" is an instult to viewer's brain. :) Something is wrong with those networks. They are taking down amazing series ("Firefly" few years back, now SGU) and allwoing poor productions to stay on the air for years...
