well he's thinking that a "strait g" has only one finger on the high E string, no finger on the B string. A super G would be both E and B strings held down on the third fret, instead of just one on the high E.

like does a Flying v give the same noise as the one Marty has?

all electrics sound different mate, flying v's normally have Humbucker pickups which give a fatter sound that the single coils in a strat. Amp's, Effects Pedals, Pickups and even the plectrums can make a difference to the sound.

99 percent of the time if a guitar has a different shape it is not the same type of guitar. And no a Flying will not sound like a Stratocaster(martys guitar). Every type of guitar has its own sound and has different types of pickups that change the sound

well the shape doesnt affect the sound.... the reason a Flying V has a different sound than a strat is because of the pickups and also because of the different wood they are made out of
