You know, it's a really cool car, and props to Dodge for the exterior design. But it's sad that American car companies are so lacking in appeal and originality that in order to catch people's attention they need to redo designs from nearly 40 years ago.

For the same price, a Mitsubishi Evolution will outrun this car.. and is all wheel drive. And comfortably seats 4 adults. And gets better mileage.

in the straight an evo wouldnt outrun it, but on a road course the evo would probally take it. each car was designed for different terrain. i doubt when they got challenger they had road course,drift intents. same with evo i doubt they had straight line speed in mind only. props to both cars for in there own terrain specific runs they would probally do really well.

The Challenger is 4200 lbs, so it will need a lot more horsepower to equal a lighter vehicle. The only Challenger which has 425 horsepower will be the SRT version, which costs substantially more than the EVO. For the price difference you could take any EVO right off of the lot to a tuning shop and get horsepower in the same range.. plus have all wheel drive, more advanced suspension. A *stock* EVO will more than hold its own against the Challenger in 0-60 and the 1/4 mile. Sorry.

Really nice car this...but only problem is it's weight. It's over 4 tonnes and thats cause they loaded it with extra equipment (GPS, 6-disk changer, not to mention driving aids to keep the car under control), so that's a bit of a downside- but I do hope they will make it lighter in the upcoming years...

I find it funny when people compare European cars, Imports, and Sports cars with a Challenger. Challenger is a Muscle car. The only competition the Challenger has is the mustang as of right now. People who want to buy a Challenger aren't going to consider a Nissan Skyline, BMW, Porsche, or Corvette. People who want this car will most likely be choosing between this or the Mustang, and Camaro when it comes out. So it is pointless to compare this car to a car thats different.
