Thanks Nico, I know I've not been active on YT - life has taken me on other paths lately. I'm performing alot more in London town, but I may yet make an appearance! Cheers buddy
You're absolutely gorgeous. And your accent is so beautiful. I read that you are married on ccendana's video lol, but I don't care you are still hot. lol.
Hiya Alyssa! Yeah, I'm an Aussie Filipino in London.... Mr United Nations with a Russian first name and a spanish surname. Thanks for your comments. I believe my friend SmileyKai got the honours with Katelynn. You should check him out. Also, I have another mate in the US who's amazing - Chris Cendana; his latest vid is a rockin thang, check it out!
I love what you did with this song. I am going to post my own version of this song in a week or so. Let me know what you think. I value your input. You are obviously an experienced musican as I am just getting started. I appreciate any input that I can get. Your version is the best that I have seen so far.
Hey Robnation, thank you for your generous comments. I'm looking forward to hearing your version. I love helping new starters with the guitar, so I'll do my best. Thanks again!:)
I really liked some of the others that blended her song with theirs..but of the responses, yep ...your lyrics are the best. Browsed your other videos, Your music is great- better then trying to mesh with someone elses.. :) ♥
OMG! I really appreciate your comments Flirty! I'm glad you took the time to check out my other stuff too - which lead me to look at yours as well! Cheers!
dude that was good man! best ive seen so far. i liked all the lyrics. except the "bleeding for you" part. change the bleeding to something else. nice work man.
I liked the emotion...I almost clicked off this, but you got in the groove better around 1:45 and improved your performance. If you don't mind...maybe warm up a bit first? Otherwise...good emotion, and that's 90% of music. You may have added an extra beat or two after the G chord with your riff, but no biggie. Thanks for posting.
Hi Nico, I really appreciate your comments. I'm using the 3 chords: A, D and D/C (ie D with a C root)/ (or Csus2) as a base. At the change over, I play a bass line that accents C and G root notes.
It sounds like a few chords because of the way i play the rhythm. On the A, sometimes I pull-off and hammer on the A shape. This gives the G - A sound, but I'm still playing the A string as the bass root. (cont)
When I play the D, i strum individual strings in rhythm then play the C root before doing the change over. It's a concept I learned years ago, and was reinforced by Joe Satriani - pedal point. As long as you know the root of the base chords (A, D, C), you can add different chord fingerings over the top. This adds tension and a complexity - without being too complicated (yes, there's a difference) :D Hope that made sense. Give me a shout on idefymedia AT gmail DOT com for more guitar tips.
Vlad. Not only do are you awesome on the guitar, but I'm also impressed with your business background and iDEFY concept. I'm in the middle of the Tony Robbin's Mastery University, so I appreciate your philosophy to live life with passion. Keep up the great work.
That was the best add-on I've seen so far. You're awesome. I thought it could've used more darkness (lol...i guess if it was a solo)...but, duets are always mushy. Anyways, you're awesome.
I do have another slight variation of this song. It uses an A pedal against a G-D diad 5th and 7th fret. But it sounds more A minor & doesn't honour the original work. I've kept to the original chords, although I use a G instead of the D with C bass. Anyhoo, it's her delicate rhythm playing I found difficult to duplicate: it's always hard to replicate someone else's internal rhythm and sing at the same time. p.s. "You"Tube is all about the ego! :)
I personally like your self-indulgence and total ego-centrality, it reminds me of myself before I graduatued high school, not bad though, nice tone, I think It would lent to the darkness if you
I know. They really are, but I've broken 3 strings twice over 6 days (yeah, LOTS of playing) and I just can't be asked cutting them anymore if they're gonna snap on me. Oh well. :D
AWESOME....that was awesome...you play the guitar so well! and ur voice is cool....and the lyrics are great...you should totally be singing with katelin!!!
Thanks for the complement. Actually thanks to everyone who's left a comment! It's always encouraging.
I've been kind of tempted to do a "light" version or response to 'Something Secret' - the original song is such a good romantic ditty. I guess I wanted the duet bit to move from dark to light.
"The lamp's down low" is a fave blues reference of mine. There's something mysterious... and secret! about it.
hi Vla fantastic!!!

Liked it... sounded very "Bon Jovi" at times [in a cool kinda way, as in *old* JBJ].
"Bleeding for you" is... *quite dark*. The song in general isn't, all that much [dark I mean].
"The lamp's down low" <-- Very nice.
Greetings from Argentina.
