I played WoW for many years (BC-Cata)

When I downloaded this game on my iPhone, I immediately knew I could never get into this. Visually, it looks exactly like WoW. But it does not have the same spark that WoW has that makes a great MMO experience. Even just the whole vibe of WoW is what gets you into the game... this one feels like its just a knock off with no depth to it what so ever. Yes its cool that I can play this type of game on my phone, but its nothing serious to get into in my opinion.

But people still play it. Why?

Because there is a guarantee that it won't die anytime soon. They make too much money to just close it down, whereas a new game, might not make money, and the makers may shut it off after a short period.

The other is

Consistancy. With WoW, you know what you get. With a new MMORPG, not so much.

Lol it's true though, gameloft does like to clone blizzard games.. Check out starfront, it's a beautiful knock off of SC for the iphone/ipad. Much like this is a great knockoff of wow. I wonder if they have a diablo one..

sorry I should have said Warcraft and Warhammer. WoW is actually a lot different than Warcraft 1/2, Warhammer has been around since the 70's as a table top game. Blizzard based Warcraft off of Warhammer tabletop and continued from there on.

p.s. i love both warhammer and warcraft and i don't think they are anything alike, anyone who does obviously hasn't spent enough time getting to know them and the differences.

I would but all the races in Warcraft feel as sterile as a bottle of alcohol. At least back when Warcraft 3 was a viable option to play in 2003-2007 the races were unique. Now everybody plays WoW or SC2.
