I remember I used to watch this when I was five. Good 'ol memories. I still find it interesting. The music fits perfectly, always a cliff hanger at the end, amazing plot. The best episode was when Spidey called on the X-men, Fantastic Four and Captain America. I wish they would continue making these kind of episodes more. THUMBS UP IF YOU AGREE!!!

This, X-men Evolution and Avengers are the 3 series I always watched in my childhood years and are responsible for turning from a normal kid into a comic book loving nerd that's destined to never have a GF. May they always continue to do so. Bless Marvel and DC comics!

I loved this show as a kid.

This, along with X-Men and Silver Surfer was proof that comic book cartoons could work, and work well.

Their stories were deep, their characters were diverse and well-developed and they all proved that they could grow beyond their simple beginnings.

Shows like this are what I use as standards to jusge other children's animated series.

Unfortunately, I think we can all agree that these days, few can meet that standard.

One thing I know is that it's on Disney XD sometimes. It's usually on really late @ night. I'd say from 12-6 or 10-6. That's all I know. other than the fact that the hub has the original Transformers on @ night too. I'd rather watch the original one than the crap they have made today. the movies were cool, but the newer series are crap on crap.

@xJoeEDangerouslyx I thought the animation in "Spectacular" was pretty good, and it had great storylines. The MTV version didn't really sit well with me because of the CGI. This version of Spiderman is quite good, but I'm kinda disappointed with the way they portrayed Peter Parker. You've forgotten to mention The Amazing Spiderman (which I like because it's just one of the old shows that's fun to watch). I have read the comic and it is AWESOME. There's a new Spiderman tv series out next year ;D

The animation in this pilot episode of Spider-Man TAS is a lot more lively than later episodes, but that's probably just cause it had a bigger budget since it was a pilot.

Why are the box sets so fucking expensive. .same goes for x-men, the Batman Animated Season 1-4 discs 85 episodes is only £4.66 on amazon compared to £30 for the previously mentioned.

batman, xmen, spidey, early-mid 90s had the best superhero cartoons! although over time, they juts got convoluted.

late 90s spawn was pretty good, if not just for the fact that it was dark as hell.

2000s had TEH batman, brave & bold, teen titans were okay; the 'high schooler' spiderman was decent, but the animation is so bland and colorless.

honestly the best comic-based remake out of 2000s was TMNT 2003-2004

For something like Spider-Man DVD would be good enough. Who knows if they have the original film elements of Spider-Man to make HD Transfers from.

Disney owns the rights to the show, so hopefully they will put out DVD Volumes and get the complete series out like what they did with the 1992 X-Men Animated Series, they managed to get the complete X-Men series out on DVD in 13 months.

I think this is what the spider-man Reboot is based off of. In this one he uses a webshooter instead of the webs coming out of his arms. Also this the 1st episode and he will face the Lizard where as in the reboot he faces the lizard
